Is anyone having trouble with the ambient lighting? After the latest software update (Gen 2-V3.6.2), I turned the ambient lighting off. The ambient lighting comes on when I either start the with lights on or I turn lights on after starting car. I have tried the master reset, no help. Anyone have any ideas on this problem? I'm getting tired of turning the ambient lighting off every time I start the car.

Howdy Folks- I'm thinking about buying the K&N CAI. Has anyone installed it their Edge? Is the price of it worth the mpg increase (or is there a mpg increase). The installation looks to be fairly easy, so I'm not worried about that. From my research I've seen estimates of 1-2 mpg for the CAI. I'm looking for hands on experience whith one installed. Thanks for the help in advance!!

After a master reset 3.5.1 is working like a champ!!!!

Just installed 3.5.1 three days ago since then I've had to shut off the ambient lighting every morning. I'm trying to figure out if is a time based reset or something else. I've stopped and started the engine in my driveway and the problem does not return. I start the car in the morning after sitting all night and the problems returns. It's just annoying enough I have to ask, is anyone else having this problem?

Thanks for all the good info. I did find in the manual after posting to the forum. I guess I just have to get used to the car making descisions for me. I'm used to the "old school" transmissions.

Has anyone had any experinence with the Edge down-shifting while going downhill (coasting). My Edge would shift into 4th while I was coasting down a 6% grade. I can only assume the car was thinking for me and trying to use engine compression to slow the car.

I want to remove the chromed plastic badges on the rear tailgate. Are the EDGE, SEL/LIMITED/SPORT & AWD badges just held on with adhesive or do the have pins like past badges on other Ford SUV's? Thanks

Thanks for the help Cal3thousand..... I thought the left hand display actually showed average speed & that I had it in the wrong mode. That's why the stupid question. I have since done the math.

Right on, thanks I guess I didn't look at the readout close enough. Could this info also be a Canada version Edge vs. American version Edge?

Hi All- I been browsing the forum since I bought my Edge in October. I have seen a few people reference a way to view the average speed. I can only find average MPG. Does anyone know how to view average speed? Thanks!!
