  1. I'm new to this forum but if I'm perceiving the info properly, it looks like you all are driving 6 cyl. FWDs. That said, what's your best gas mileage? I presently drive an 02 Jeep Liberty which I dearly love. The max. hwy efficiency however is about 21 mpg. I just need better mpgs. So, although I'd dearly miss my 4x4 Libby, I'm looking at the edge. I gota say though that the AWDs are a bit high and their mpgs aren't too much better. If I moved over to FWD things would be better. And if I went with the new turbo charged 4 cyl. I'd immagine the hwy mpg should be even better. Have you heard anything about the 4 cyl FWD Hwy mpgs? I'd appreciate any comments.
  2. My sincere thanks to all responders. Are you all driving the ecoboost engines? It seems like the "ecoboost" engine has the best ratings for a 6 cylinder AWD vehicle.I'd say the responces sound encourgaging. Would you all do it again?
  3. I'm thinking about buying an AWD but am concerned about owners conflicting reports with fuel efficiency. Some claim 24-25 mpg while others report far less. My 02 Jeep Liberty gets about 21 on the hwy and I'd like to know if the AWD's 24-25 is valid.
  4. I'm thinking about purchasing a AWD/Ecoboost but am concerned about conflicting owner's reports about fuel effeciency. Some Edge drivers claim 24-25 Hwy while others get far less. I presently drive an 02 Jeep Liberty and its best Hwy is about 21. I just got to do better than the latter. Amy comments out there?
  5. How is your FWD in snow? What's your best gas mileage?
  6. Fish, Would you buy a FWD? Sounds like the fuel efficiency might be better. With gas constantly going up it's a factor for me. I'm torn though since I've been driving a Jeep Liberty for 9 yrs. Its been wonderful and really goes great in snow. The last FWD I drove was my old Dodge Caravan which wasn't bad but definately not a Jeep. I'd appreciate your comments. I just don't know.
  7. So, that's 24 - 25 hwy on dry roads? Or does it reall matter? Would you buy another Edge? Thanks.
  8. So then, would you still get 24 - 25 if traveling on the hwy in the snow?
  9. I'm thinking about buying a 2012 AWD but need a clarification... Is the AWD full time AWD or part time? Anyone care to comment on their MPGs? Anyone have any info on how the FWD is in the snow? I've been driving Jeeps for many years and although I dearly love them, the high costs of gas is forcing me to consider alternatives. I'd appreciate any info. Thanks.
