  1. My two cents worth..... Tarzan, Sgt Preston, Charlie Chan, Mr. Moto, Boston Blackie, and Dragnet (Sgt. Joe Friday... talk about scared straight). The Untouchables, Andy Devine, Swamp Fox, Daniel Boone, Zorro, and Superman with Steve Reeves. Gangbusters and The Shadow on radio. Color tv was a tri-colored piece of cellophane put over the front of the screen.... strange how the sky was always blue even in a thunderstorm or if the camera angle was other straight on, the sky was green, or the grass was blue. Sitting on the porch swing watching the summer rain, ollie oxen free, and red light, green light, dynamite boom! Ahhh the good old days!! For most, your senior trip was to SE Asia not Cancun or Rio or Canada. You took a loan out for a car or a house. Credit and credit cards were for emergencies.... a double latte was not an emergency. When my niece was little, she told me our TV set was broke. I asked why and she politely told me the color was gone.... an 8 year old 19 inch B&W RCA. Now my computer monitor is bigger than that. Now I watch HD and back a show up if I miss a play or line. Retired, living a good life, but still miss parts of the days when.....
  2. Glad to hear I am not the only one to have left the old one on.... oh well, my garage floor won't rust.
  3. Check out Warrantydirect.com. It was on sale for 2279 last week, but it is bumper to bumper, no deductible for 8yr 120k miles. That includes all the electronics, gps, and bluetooth. You pick the repair shop, sign the invoice and leave.... no money leaves your hand. I have used them for several cars and never had a problem with a claim. They have other plans with other coverage and cost. NO DEALER WEASLE CLAUSES!!!
  4. Great solution... functional, simple, and like tonights dinner, can be made from leftovers. Thanks for directing me there.
  5. Great fix, guys. Simple and just like tonights dinner, it can be made out of leftovers. It is going to the top of my to do list.
  6. The center front console seems awfully deep and my wife was going to cut some foam to put in the bottom so things were not so hard to reach. I told her either 1) grow some real arms or 2) I would look for a unit we seen advertised for the GMC Yukon called a console organizer that made it a two tier system. I presume it is merely a lift out tray that allows one to store larger items in the bottom and smaller, more frequently used items in the top. Does anybody know of such a critter existing for the Edge? Thanks
  7. Yes, it is the 2012 Edge Limited. I was asked in the introduction forum if the angle of the headrest is adjustable, I checked the manual and it said vertical only, then someone said they seen a post where they were adjustable. Me, I am happy with the angle, but someone asked me if they were adjustable, hence my earlier comment.
  8. Well, I checked and did not see a button or release on the headrest unit. There did not appear to be a way to modify the angle. If someone can tell how the previous post said it was to be done, I will check again. Thanks
  9. According to the manual, No. The headrest in the front and the two outboard rear headrest are vertically adjustable. The center headrest in the rear is not adjustable.
  10. Picked up our 2012 Edge Limited. We do like it so far... a sweet ride and the four cylinder with turbo has plenty of thump to get out in traffic and run down the highway.
