  1. Thanks for your answer drpepper. That sux. I think that would be an easy feature to put back especially on a 2014.
  2. Yes I get that info on the home screen just as it should be. I'm talking about NOT seeing that quartered home screen. I want to see just the wallpaper WITHOUT anything else on the main screen except the info in the corners. In my 2011 Edge running v2.8 when I touch the home button I get 3 choices. 1. Just my wallpaper. 2. The quartered screen. 3. My favorites. Is that possible with this new version in the 2014 Fusion which I think is v3.6 ?
  3. I haven't been able to find any answers using the search so I'm sorry if this has been asked before. I have an 2011Edge still running v2.8 and has always been stable. After seeing how much info they took off the screen to make it faster I decided I like my old version better so I haven't done any upgrades. My question is about the wallpapers on screen. In my v2.8 the entire picture is seen with no overlay. I just bought my daughter a 2014 Fusion with MyTouch and it seems that you cannot just see the wallpaper it has the quartered screen overlaid on top of the wallpaper. Is this just how it is or is there some way to just show the wallpaper without the overlay? Thanks for any help.
  4. In an answer to whiteedge, I have VZ as my carrier. 3g or 4g has no effect on getting text messages. I just got 2 yesterday while driving and the upper left (phone) spot showed an icon of an envelope with the number 2 next to it. I had not seen that before. Let me add that I'm on v2.11 and have no desire to do the latest upgrade. When the messages came in I hit the phone icon, then messages, then read message, no problems. There is also a "download messages" button on that screen. I haven't tried voice commands to read the messages but will next time. I have read on here about people unable to receive texts after upgrading to v.3.0. I did not have to change any options on the phone or car for it to work. Good luck...and forget about calling VZ, they are not the ones to deal with this. It is NOT your carriers fault.
  5. No problems here. I specifically bought this phone because of the texting capability. I've had my Droid Razr since November and it works fine. I did not have to change any settings.
  6. I have a Droid Razr and it works fine. When I was looking for a phone that could send and receive texts I found that the sales people didn't have a clue. I found a thread on here that said to look at the technical specs for the phone and it has to support "MAP". Here are the specs for my Droid Razr...Bluetooth v2.1+ EDR (Profiles supported: HFP 1.5, AVRCP 1.4 (CT), HSP 1.2, A2DP 1.2, PBAP, HID, MAP, PAN–NAP, OPP, DUN, SPP, GAVDP, AVDTP, AVCTP). Very cool feature and it will read the message EXACTLY as it's written so beware if your kids are with you. Hope that helps.
