I have a 2012 Edge Ltd with Nav and I did the update in my driveway in 50 minutes with no issues. You must leave the car idling for the full time. A waste of gas but it beats tying up your time at a dealership. No issues with my phone or the system updates.

Today I received the updated USB and the SD update for the Navigation system in the same package. No dealer install is necessary as it is a very simple process. It took approximately 50 minutes to complete in my driveway. Everything looks great including the new updates on the Nav.

Install completed in 50 minutes while idling in my driveway. I did not want to risk any type of computer glitch during the install. Also received an updated SD card for the navigation system. All looks good. I am pleased with the updates.

Apparently this is a common occurence. My 2012 Limited with 300 miles on it has had this happen three times in the past two weeks. I always check for an obstruction, but have never found one. Like everyone else, I'll have to mention it to the Dealer whn I take it in for it's first checkup.

I agree with Ridbidge's comments. There are car deals everywhere, but the "out the door pricing" is not the only issue that you should dwell on. How you will be treated after the sale is what I always base my purchase. Dealers that would refuse to drive you home should never be in the business! It's normally the "after the sale" relationship is a true judge of an established dealership. Customer service is how many of the dealerships are rated by Ford. This dealship would get an 1 out of 10 in my rating survey. Don't look for trouble, find another deal!!

We just picked up our 2012 Ford Edge Ltd and my wife commented about the sun roofs. On our Enclave you could close the back seat roof shade separate from the front . We noticed that the Edge Roof shades both close together. Does anyone know if there is an after market shade for the back roof to prevent unwanted sunlight into the passenger compartment, while I have the front opened?
