Well I purchased a Limited 302a with 20s, Trailer Hitch, All Weather Mats. Cinnamon with Sienna Interior. Picking it up tomorrow.

That's an awesome truck good luck with it. I have the sport model and I am truly loving the vehicle tomorrow will be its first road trip can't wait to see how it handels on the open road

I have been looking to buy a loaded 302a Limited with a sticker right around 44500.

 

When I build this vehicle on the Ford Site, with my Zip code and all options and then go to Ford's Lease Payment calculator, the monthly payment is a good hundred dollars different then what a dealership is quoting me for the same term, mileage etc.

 

Has anyone else experienced this with Ford's calculator... you would think they would not want it showing numbers over a hundred lower a month then the dealer would show for the same prices. Are there LARGE factors that calculator is leaving out or is the dealer trying to make some extra $$$.

I am a big fan of the retro-solutions 55w 6000K kit..I installed on my truck on 1/27/11 no problems at all with the kit here are some images.

I just go my 2012 Edge Limited today and I love it. I am coming from an Expedition EL so this is like driving a sports car for me I do have a question about something I have noticed on the dashboard on the drivers side. On the dash, right in front of the windshield there is this little rectangular box type thing with a (almost white filter looking cover on top) that will have about 7 or eight lights that light up when I am cranking or shutting off the car. I cannot find anything about this in any of the information that came the vehicle. Does anyone know what this is or what it is for?

It's called collision warning with brake support if the car senses your going to get into an accident it sets those led's off with a beeping noise to alert you. It also precharges the brakes. When it goes on starting and shutting off the car its letting you know its activating and deactivating.

I just ordered a 2009 Ford Edge 4WD Limited and want to know how to get the combination to open the keyless entry. It is somewhere inside the vehicle.

You need to bring the car to a Ford service dept. They have to hook it up to the computer to find your keyless code

Hi! New to this forum and already learning a lot.

 

Will be picking up our 2012 Edge Limited this week. We are X plan. Usually I just pay for vehicle when I pick it up, but this time have other (hopefully) better uses for $30,000 than putting in vehicle, so think I will try the 27 month lease they are advertising with $7800 down (value of our trade in).

 

Question.....Will X plan automatically see I get the lowest money factor on lease, or is that negotiable? Also....I would prefer a 36 month lease, but salesman says Ford is favoring the 27 month with better depreciation rates. Is that so? How does that matter if you buy the vehicle at lease end? He did say the lease payments for 36 are greater than for 27....after same trade in. One would think it would be the oposite. I don't particularly care what the payments are, figuring the more I pay along, the less I will pay when I buy the vehicle at lease end. But.... maybe I'm thinking wrong. However, salesman also says money factor is lower on 27 than 36, by a lot, making 27 month lease more favorable.

 

If anyone can explain this, would be greately appreciated. Thanks.

X-plan has nothing to do with rates....X-plan gives you special price on the vehicle and changes some of the rebates. Nothing to do with money factors or residual value

Hi, I tried searching but for the life of me I can't find the thread on it. Is there a way to fully close the sunshade with one button operation? Currently the one touch button closes the shade to about 6 inches from the end. I then need to hold the button to close it completely.

Nope they stop at the 6 inch mark and you have to hold it to close it. It's a safety factor with the roof.

Anybody here use 15% tint on there front windows to match the factory tinted rears? Ive done a lot of searching and looking at photos here to see what people are using and it just seems to me that 20% is a tad too light to match perfectly. Cant find a definative answer about what the true factory tint percentage is either. Anyway, NOT concerned about dicussing tinting laws. Just wanna know if anyone used or know anyone that used 15% and how it matched to the factory tint.

I just purchased my first ford edge today and so far am soooo happy with it!! :D I got the 2011 edge limited. Initially all I was looking at was the 2012 limited but was talked into this deal because it was a great bargain and saved me a lot of money AND the car came fully loaded. My heart was very set on the 2012 and not the 2011 but I was told that they are nearly identical. Does anyone know if this is true? Can anyone make me feel better that I made the right decision saving money and having a great car because I'm still a little down that I didn't get the year I really wanted. When at the dealership I looked at both exteriors and interiors and stickers and couldn't find much that's different. Is it true that they are pretty much identical?? Thanks so much! I am in negotiation for an 2011 Edge Limited. The MSRP is $36,264 and I currently have a price of $28,595 plus a $399 Admin fee plus tax, tag and title.All qualified rebates go to the dealer. It lists on the window sticker it is the Kona Blue Exterior with the Med Lt Stone Leather interior. Included on the vehicle is the Rapid Spec 300A with optional equipment listed as 20" chrome clad wheels, pin striping, and lock lug nuts. Is this a good / fair price or should I continue to negotiate?

If anyone had any problems with them? Was the install easy? Any modifications to the bulbs? Also is the bulb capping necessary?? Any help greatly appreciated. I was planning on the 8000K bulbs.

try www.carid.com don't think they have the identical ones but they should have some choices.

In the my touch system left side screen under settings for remote start there is an option to have quiet start yes or no.

Has anyone noticed a difference between the remote start quiet start being on or off? I don't notice any difference

What is the best kit for HID's on this truck. I have previously have been using Notto SE from carid.com for my previous cars. But they say that the bulbs need to be modified to fit. What kits are you guys using? I have been hearing about retro solutions what would be the correct kit to get from them. I am looking for a kit that doesn't need to be modified. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. thanks

Guys I am a Ford dealer in NY. The state requires a front plate bracket on the vehicle here...I watch every vehicle that comes off our trucks and NONE of them have the brackets on them we don't even install them until the vehicle is being prepared for delivery. The code for a front plate bracket is 153. But as I said this just means it will be in the vehicle not put on at the factory. They don't put them on at the factory because not every state requires a front plate. I have attached a copy of the ordering guide used by Ford dealers. Under FREE STANDING OPTION you will notice front plate bracket with code 153 and also a O which means OPTIONAL
