The called back. They found another windshield in a warehouse they have to order in

They said the windshield itself doesn't say sound screen, but it has stickers on it that says it plus acoustic.

They will replace it with that, I'm still skeptical

I called safelite, they are going to call me back. The installer said he will have the office look for one that says acoustic on it.

I knew I should have just gone to the dealer we will see how long this drags out for.

The windshield has all the same markings except sound screen. Says FoMoCo and carlite. Installer said its the same glass but replacements don't say soundscreen.

Part numbers line up as well

I recently had my windshield replaced (with OEM glass).

I think its in my head, but seems like there is now more road noise, especially from behind me.

I know i have acoustic side glass on the front doors, so i'm guessing that is why I hear more noise from behind me.

I guess the question is, do you guys/gals hear more noise from behind the drivers seat than from up front?

Could getting the windshield replaced cause more wind noise?

There are no leaks that I can see (i've had car washes and no water leaks through), and the noise is not really wind noise...just road noise.

From my experience the yellow i means there is a message which is not read. I know when if you don't sub to sirius and try and use it, it will popup a message which says you don't have a sub. after that until you click the yellow i, and read the message the i stays yellow. Once you've read the message it turns white again. Also if you turn off bluetooth on sync, it will show you yellow i as it has a message which says bluetooth if off, until you read that message it stays yellow.

I called the sync support number. The guy on the phone said its a known issue and I have to Goto the dealer for a fix. He said its something they do with the battery but couldn't advise me over the phone what to do.

Only thing I could guess is they disconnect and reconnect the battery.

Any harm on if I just try doing that?

Do you have nav? I thought this feature was only for nav equipped vehicles. If you don't maybe that is why it is grayed out?

Alll of the travel link pages work, as in I get weather and traffic and what not, it's just that there are no icons on the buttons.

There is no travel link logo on the top left, and there are no little icons on the buttons such as a little skier on the ski conditions button or a sun/clouds on the weather button.

Not a big deal, just me knowing that it isnt displaying correctly

I also noticed that my "I" next to my home button is white, but in pictures it is yellow.

I wonder if my software is just screwed up. It's supposedly on 2.11

I wonder what else could cause it....any ideas?

The dealer ordered a new sirius module of some sort, as I'm having problems keeping a good signal.

I'm hoping that will fix the "icon" issue as well.

even though its not a big deal, it still is showing that something is not working correctly.

When the new part comes in I will bring up the icon issue and see if they are connected.

On the MFT travel link page, are there little icons next to the choises (weather, sports etc) or is it just a grey bar with text?

On mine there are no icons, just the text on grey buttons. But on screen shots online it shows little icons such as a sun and clouds on the weather option.

Just wondering if mine is correct or messed up. My Sirius radio isn't working correctly right now but the travel link info is downloading so maybe that would be part of it.

My wife is having the same problem with her 2011 Edge Limited, purchased Dec 2010. The MFT is very temperamental. One month its not bad and others its horrible. Took it to the dealer (8 months since the last update) thinking there's a new update. He said all he could do at this time was to do a system reset as the new update is coming out Jan 2012. The reset helped but I'll be first in line for the update in Jan. Have you noticed that ford isn't running all those commercials claiming their vehicles are so technologically advanced anymore?

Everything else on the vehicle works just fine, including travel link.

Just spotty Sirius reception which is making me think antenna.

I. Am looking forward to the update though

on the phone with sirius for a while....they sent refresh signals with no help

maybe i'll have the dealer swap the antenna again...thats gotta be it.

I have 2012 edge limited.

When I first bought it sirius always said no signal. Dealer put in a new Sirius receiver and antenna today, and while it works the signal drops out and re acquires quite often.

Any one else have this issue? The dealer said to bring it back, but if there are any tips of what the problem might be or if it is common that would be appreciated as I don't want the dealer just ripping the dash apart not knowing what is wrong.

I got it working..... apparently MFT doesn't like the way a mac embeds album artwork (surprise...)

I used a windows computer, and then media monkey to embed the artwork and it works just fine!

well, I formatted the usb stick, adjusted all album artwork to 500x500, let the vehicle re-index the "new" drive and still no go.

gracenote artwork and media management is turned off.

this is annoying

Gracenotes has to be off to see embedded mp3 album art. I found anything above 500x500 resolution does not display.

I'm not sure it will use the embedded album artwork - it may only work with the built-in gracenotes db.

I may be doing something wrong here.

I cannot get MFT in my 2012 edge to display album artwork using a USB thumbdrive.

Works just fine plugging my iphone in via USB and using it as an ipod.

I have imbedded the .mp3 files with album artwork on my computer, and they show up on my computer.

I am using a mac to do this, would this be causing an issue?

I found that same chart as well.

however my iphone 4 does NOT transfer photos for photo ID.

nor does it transfer album art over bluetooth

same for me as well.

it does change, just not instantly
