yes you will need two bulbs for each side.but one plus is you can get two different heat levels if you want.
I'm kinda leery about putting an HID in a halogen's place, glare and such. Wonder how it'll look if I just use the low side for the HID

For now just using the stock projector.
Thanks for the reply, here's what I'm having an issue with. I have the Morimoto system left from the '13 Edge.
That Edge had the shutter to cut off the high beam (low and high were the same bulb). In this '15 Edge, if I install the HID into the projector, won't I be blinding others, since it's in effect a high beam bulb, without the shutter to make it low beam?
Thanks for your replies.

Just some pics showing you what a good quality hid kit looks like installed on a 2015 edge.
Looks good, did you just use the low beam projector for the HID?

As an addition to the above query. Does anyone know anything about an LED conversion kit? Would I need one bulb per side, or two? (one low and one high)
Would it work?

Just got the missus another Edge. I had installed a Morimoto KID kit in her '13.
Seems I cannot install this kit into the '15 because the low beams and high beams are different bulbs. The '13 had one bulb with the shutter for low/high beam.
Am I correct that this kit cannot be installed?
eff me, if so.

Got a letter from Ford saying that the warranty for the SYNC in the Edge was extended to 5 years with unlimited mileage.
It also includes any future software updates.
Old news to you guys?
Still pretty cool.

Trust me, the 55W are what you want. They are definitely brighter than the 35W's

Just take out the middle bulb. Takes literally less than 30 seconds!
lol My answer exactly.
I love people who wont help themselves when given a solution.

I took the bumper off and headlights out. I also ended up trimming about 1/8" of an inch off the biggest tab. Made my life easier.

Wow...Clean install. Looks great..

9006 is what I ordered.

Your Photobucket link isn't working for me.

A hammer?

Just got off the webchat with Carlos. They're shipping me out a new ballast. He couldn't have been more helpful.

Damn, sorry to hear. On my wife's Edge the passenger side HID now refuses to come on, even after cycling on and off. This light has given me problems since day1. I'm assuming I have a bad ballast too. I'll be calling them tomorrow.

looks like a black speed3...lolol
Too low for me but it looks good.

Installed the Morimoto's on Sunday. WIfey drives to work at 5.30am. With the OEM lights, she couldn't see the squat; and there are plenty of deer on her way there. She said the HID's made a ton of difference.
Yesterday I refilled the windshield washer with the non freeze type. Because it's back to the "polar vortex" today...lol what a stupid term the media picked up on.

Read up on here, there have been some threads/posts. Matter of fact I just added to one such thread literally 5 minutes ago.
Edit...here it is for you. http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/7382-dangerous-stalling-problem/

Happened to my wife's 2007 Edge a few times. The last time it stalled was the one that pissed me off. It happened at 7am with my daughter in the car, she was merging onto the highway and it died on the on ramp.
They almost got killed my the cars swerving around them to get on the highway they were now blocking. Thank God my friend was able to tow her out and get them and the truck back home.
Started right up the next day and I drove it straight to Ford and got her a new one that day.

Having read about these issues on these threads it seems the most common occurrence of the problem is when you do not have the relays and/or capacitors.
Having said that, last night when I was heading home for the first time since i installed the lights several months ago I had a bulb not light. The system was on auto. Moving to manual on did no good. In the end I made a quick stop at a store (about 3 minutes) and when i came out and got in they both came on and have started 4 times since. For a few minutes there I thought I had lost a bulb or ballast. Yes, I have relays AND capacitors.
Thanks for the reply. As an aside, they lights are fantastic, they really light up the road ahead and here in NJ where I live, some roads have no streetlights.
The stop signs and orange construction cones really pop from far away now. If the only negative is the Auto ON not working, it's no biggie to me. Plus it's the missus' daily, my speed has the HID's

Finally got nice weather to install the Morimoto's HID kit. Install was okay thanks to some of your experiences and write ups...thanks for that.
I'm having an issue with the Auto lights not working. I'm assuming it's not going to work? I didn't get the relays.
Are they needed?

I was pissed as hell that the wife's '13 SEL didn't have the ambient lighting....now I'm kinda glad.
I hate distracting lights while I'm driving, so I feel for all of you.
Sucks.

Hope the missus is okay...the vehicles are replaceable.

wow that is definitely a condensation problem. because of the way the water is evenly spread out on the roof panel. If it was a leak you would only see the water in a few spots. That doesn't rule out the possibility of a water leak at the floor. I purchased custom floor liners when I bought my car last month and in the last couple weeks I've probably dumped out a quart of water from my mat once each week.
At first I was going to tell the OP that cars should only be washed from the outside, NOT the inside.
Then I thought about it and Cinnamon's answer makes more sense...shows you what I know.
Odd smell, new ford edge
