Candy Edge

Well let me add my experience with my Edge to this thread. My 2012 Limited turns a yr old next week and 15,500 miles. It has had NO issues whatsoever. Not one single warranty repair or adjustment period. I have every available option except Ecoboost engine or awd, didn't want them. Mytouch has worked perfectly and the two updates were done by me with no issues. I've been in the retail Ford business for 30+ yrs and have owned pretty much everything we make over the years. This Edge without a doubt is the most reliable well built fun to drive new Ford I've ever owned and I've owned over 30 of them! I traded a 2011 V6 Fusion on it that drove awesome but I wanted more room, great decision! If you're thinking about an Edge go drive one....you will love it. CR are idiots and hate everything but beige Toyotas!! Just my 2 cents.

Same here. Took exactly 45 minutes and it completely transforms the system. My best description is that it now works as well as my Iphone 4S and that's saying a lot! Great job Ford!!

Uhhh....both haha!! I work at a dealer so I snagged one of our supply that came in and did it myself. I'll give them mine when it comes later this week. It's a very simple install!

Just installed my update today (see my thread). All I can say is it will definitely change peoples minds about MFT. It works like it always should have now. Nice!!!

Well I installed the update today and WOW!!! It took about 45 mins to install and you have to let the vehicle idle while doing so. No glitches, no hiccups, just plug in the flash drive and it does the rest. What a difference!! The screens are much cleaner and more organized and the touch screen works like my Iphone....snappy fast!! The new nav SD card looks much better also. Overall I am VERY happy......Good job FORD.

Let me save you a little trouble with this. I had these installed on my 2012 Limited and watched him do it. They say to tie into purple and grey( I think) wire in the A pillar. That A pillar is FULL of airbag! You can find that same wire down by the drivers side kick panel in front of the parking brake area. It even has some slack in it to make it easier. They do look great when installed by the way!!

Ok hi all!! New here and my first post so be gentle Just did the first change on my new 2012 Limited with the 3.5. The 2012 owners manual now say 6 qts with filter change. I've done my own oil changes for 30+ years so this one was easy. I put in 6qts of Motorcraft FULL synthetic and it was right at the full mark on the dipstick. The 3.5 in the Fusion DOES hold 5.5 so I'm guessing Ford corrected the owners manuals on the Edge. Great site by the way, hope I can contribute!
