  1. Wicked Shudder Did anyone ever figure out what was the cause? My 2007 just started doing it. I had both front shafts/CV joint assemblys replaced. That did not help, but with 170,000 miles I was ok with doing that.
  2. I just replaced my rotors. I replaced them with Wagner rotors ($60 each) and Wagner Thermo pads ($60). This is not a big job to do yourself. It is pretty simple if you have the tools. The original pads looked pretty good after 50,000 miles, but the rotors were warped. I never have rotors "turned". It is cheaper to replace them. If you dont want to do it yourself, it appears that he his going to charge you about 200 labor.
  3. I picked up the 2007 Edge SL+ from the dealer on October 1. Since then I have put 17000 miles on it (I am in the medical sales business covering 3 states). I changed the oil at 800 miles (don't trust the factory oil) and every 5000 miles (not 7500 like the manual suggests). Always Mobil 1 5W-20 and a Mobil 1 filter. I had an 01 Lincoln LS that I put 130,000 miles on with the normal wear-outs and repairs. Considered the MKX, but the price differential was just too great (I purchase FMC products under my fathers retired Ford purchase plan). So Far So Good. I had to have the roof buffed by the dealer due to a crummy carwash, but that is it. FAST, ECONOMICAL, and QUIET. . . .Love this Car.
  4. I had the same problem at the car wash I used for years. I took the EDGE to the dealers body shop and they were able to buff the scratches out.
  5. Has anyone seen a decent set of REAR bumper guards for the EDGE. I have been "bumped" twice in parking lots resulting in fracture of the rear bumper shroud. Criminals left no name or number so I had to Pony-up the 500 deductable for a 700 repair.
