Thanks guys. I think we may have gotten some bad fuel. My wife took the car to citgo and i never go there always use shell or exxon. So with a full tank from shell it runs just as good as always! I'm still going to change the plugs in it though just because it's time for it.

No i have not changed them yet. Where is cylinder 1 front or rear of the engine?

Getting a P0301 code thrown under w.o.t. normal driving the edge runs fine. What should i check first? It is a 2012 SE with 92000 miles on it.

So it was malfunctioning, just not enough to be obvious.

I cleaned it and my idle is about 200rpm lower throttle response is better and i noticed a little differance in mpg.

There's no set interval for MAF cleaning/check. If you want to be preventive, since you are running a K&N, maybe do it every 30,000 miles (normal filter change interval)? Definitely do it shortly AFTER you clean/oil the K&N just in case any excess gets stuck on there. IMHO.

Is anyone using the K&N Cold Air Intake system? They claim 5.5 HP over stock and increased response and mileage.

I found this video of the installation on the k&n intake it has a sound clip as well and they claim 9.1 hp increase.

Went to my local ford dealer today to get a oil change and pick up some new wiper blades for my 2012 se and the wiper blades that the gave me would not fit properly. The new ones didnt really snap on they just kinda clicked and locked but had alot of free play in the about a 1/4 inch up and down i asked one of the techs about it and he said every one of them he has ever put on were like and would not come off but i do not feel comfortable with having them on like that when the ones from the factory are not like that and this style blade that they had was the only one they carried in stock for my edge and the do appear to be different than the ones from the factory. The factory ones have a metal frame and are narrow and the ones that the dealer gave me were wide rubber and plastic no metal. So i returned them and got refuned so my question for you people are what is a good set of wipers that is going to last me for a long time the stock ones have lasted me almost 3 years so i just want yalls opinion on wipers before i go to the store to get new ones.

Thanks for the info kc. I am just waiting until i have the extra cash and then im gonna let you know so you can start building my lights. Spending 75$ on stock harnesses makes no sense when i was goin to retrofit them eventually anyway

Dingo, Thanks for the Part Number. I called my dealer and for just $54.00 each I can get them. I think I may cut up the lights and add LED Fogs for just a little more. But Thanks for the info.

Did you ever install the harness? just want to know cuz my se doesnt have the harness either!!

I just found out the harness that i am looking at is for abs not the light bar.

As for the wire harness and connector you found, does the female connector on the end of the wires look like this? If so, that's the power to the vertical lights.

I looked dingo but im not sure what the stock harness looks like there is a harness there that is cliped to the frame and hooked up to another wire! can u send me pics? I have some that i took but dont know how to upload them from my iphone i dont have a computer so iphone is all i have

Hi bryan, I just read your post. I'm not sure if the harness is there on the SE. Have you tried talking to your dealer's parts department? They may know. I'll do a little research as well.

 

FYI, I have a very good price on the stock vertical lights themselves. I can get you a set for $110.00 + free shipping. Can get them to you in about 7 days. This way you could at least start using the stock lights until you have the funds available for your conversion. Let me know what you think.

Hey kc thanks for the offer but i found some lights on ebay for 50.00 a piece with free shipping. I looked behind the bumper to see if the harness is there and there is one and is pluged up to a female end idk what it is i have some pics of it but dont know how to post pics on here with my iphone!
