  1. Great question....i dont know...my wife works for Ford and I am on her executive spouse lease program. We ordered the vehicle in September thru Ford's internal website...didnt have much to go on, just some very vague descriptions of packages, equipment, etc. Usually they give us a key at the end that will calculate the payment for us, but there was no pricing whatesover...not that the pricing really means anything anyway....for example on this program, I am driving currently a 2014 Lincoln MKS, sticker $52,000.00 for $412.00/month with "unlimited" mileage, I have 38k on it now I got it last January, includes ALL maintenance both scheduled and unscheduled (brakes, tires, windshields, everything) and also includes full coverage insurance. All I do is put gas in it. They tend to get us into these New release vehicles even befiore they hit the dealerships I think to get some exposure on the road as well as "real world" feedback. I had my second generation Edge Sport 2 months before anyone else had one. I was constantly asked "what is that a BMW? Must have been the 22's on that bad boy. But that car my payment monthly was $385.00. So I guess to answer your question, preobably not more than $400.00/month for 12-15 months whenever Ford says I need to get into another car.

When I ordered the 2015 Edge I was allowed to get a new Fusion, MKZ, MKC or Edge. I chose the Edge. I drive about 40k a year and prefer a heavy feeling vehicle. The Edge is nice for all the driving that I do. I would have ordered the Sport, but I wanted a Light colored interior this time, getting tired of the black interiors and the silver exterior that I always get. In order to get a light interior I had to order the Titanium as theSport only comes in black interior. I ordered the Magnetic Matallic and the Soft Ceramic Leather Perferated leather, 20" polished aluminum wheel package and the 302 package with the roof. Basically everything you could get in the vehicle. With the great pricing that I am fortunate to have, why not get everything?

My excitement is building to finally see this baby. Very few pictures available online at this point. I am going to a Pre Detroit Auto Show Ford unveiling this weekend. I assume that the Edge as well as the F-150 will be there as Marc Fields speaks about Ford going forward this year.

    wow! Nice deal...

I have a 2012 Edge Lmtd lease that expires in March. Need to find out from local dealers what the non-MSRP lease price is. Ford's site shows nothing.

  2. Has the amount/frequency at least gone down? It may take a bit of use to finish dissipating. Even though the TSB implies a thorough "duct cleaning".

It is a bit less then before, but its still coming out. Especially visible all over the black interior.

Dealer said to bring it back anytime. My guess is that they will perform the whole TSB again.

About a month ago, I started noticing white dust/flakes all over my black interior. At first I thought it was from a window being open when it was windy. However, the dust kept coming back after I cleaned the car. Checked the cabin air filter, but it was clean on both side, so I assumed the problem was in the system. Waited a couple more weeks to see if it would stop. It lessened, but hasnt stopped.

Started reading on-line last night that this could be related to the flux on the a/c evaporator which is poisonous.

Dropped the car off at the dealer this morning, but havent heard back yet.

    Anybody else experience this?

9/24/13 UPDATE: Picked up car. They performed TSB 11-9-6.

9/24/13 UPDATE 2: Mostly good so far. Only a couple new flakes.

9/25/13 UPDATE 3: Still getting new flakes.

9/25/13 UPDATE 4: Dropped car off at dealer again. Dealer performed TSB again. Keeping car overnight to test "cold" in morning.

9/26/13 UPDATE 5: Dealer performed TSB again (3rd time). Keeping car again overnight.

9/27/13 UPDATE 6: Dealer says car is fixed and ready for pickup.

  4. :happy feet: Just got back from the dealer for the liftgate problem not always closing. They got a update from Ford regarding this, and it was a simple program update to adjust the amount of force to close the gate. I checked it twice before leaving the dealer, and all was okay. Got home, opened and closed about 10 more times, and it closed on the first try every time. I was in and out in less than a half hour.

Not sure how your dealer did that because mine is going to replace the entire module via TSB 12-3-3.

  5. Hi guys, I don't experience that problem, but while looking for another issue, i found this ....

Here's what could be the solution to the problem, it has been posted by "FordGuru" in the "recall" section of this forum

It's has been dated by Ford on March 7th 2012 for TSB 12-03-03, it's called :

tsb12-03-03 Power Liftgate Opening - Intermittent Operation - Built on or Before 3/2/2012

    Here's the link to post # 19 of that section ... http://www.fordedgef...topic/9075-q-a/

Hope the fix is the right one for you guys ....

I just made an appt at my dealer to have that fix performed this coming Sat (3/31). Hopefully it works.

  6. recieved my package yesterday!

well...I already have had the update for a week or so (downloaded from syncmyride.com and picked up a SD card from dealer)

Any ideas of what I should do with the USB stick and Nav SD card?

Maybe format the USB stick and use it as a thumbdrive sporting the ford logo....but what about SD card?

Format them both and use them in other devices. :happy feet:

  7. it won't work

Just out of curiosity, are we sure a copied SD Nav card wont work in another MFT Nav-enabled vehicle? I doubt Ford is writing the specific VIN number into the software on each SD card and then mailing them out. Also, considering the dealers were getting a stack of SD cards to use in any vehicle, says to me that they probably arent VIN coded.

  8. Call up ford cause i was also waiting and never received anything and i called up ford they took my info and i received everything this week

I called Ford (on 3/19) to inquire about my upgrade package. The system showed the correct mailing address, but didnt show it had been mailed yet. She then asked if I had received the letter telling me the upgrade was coming, which I never received. This seemed to concern her, so she setup a "re-send" of the upgrade package to make sure I get one. She said it could take up to 10days to receive it. I had already upgraded on the 3/9 from the website, but still need the SD card for navigation to work.

    UPDATE: Package came today (3/21)

  9. Should be on its way. I leased my '11 on december 10th. Mine came Yesterday.

  10. From Ford Edge Facebook page:

    Kyle Hower

I had planned to take my Edge to the dealership after the previously discussed power liftgate software revision was available. If Ford is aware of the cause of the issue, I'd rather not have a dealership guess as to its cause and get it wrong, especially if that involves unnecessary adjustments to the physical positioning of the liftgate's latching mechanism.

    Natasha At Ford

There’s no need to worry, Kyle. They are aware of the causes and will provide a solution. Shoot me your info and I’ll set you up with a CSM for your area to help as well.

    Gail Snyder

I believe the fix involves resetting / editing the computer settings, no physical changes to the actual gate. Natasha At Ford, is that correct?

    Natasha At Ford

I believe so too, but since I’m not a tech, I can’t absolutely say yes. But I think you are correct, Gail. :)
