I have an SEL with cloth seats. I haven't driven one with leather, but I get alot of compliments on how comfortable the cloth seats are. The interior of my SEL is very quiet, but I can't compare it to the Limited. As for the sound system, I think it sounds great. I drove an F150 with aftermarket Pioneer speakers before my Edge, and the Edge is much better. I don't think you'll be upset with the SEL. I picked that model to save alot of money. I feel like the Edge is being robbed of good reviews online because of all the problems with MyFord Touch. The Edge is one of the best crossovers out there, but the reviews are dragged down because people rate the vehicle low due to MyFord Touch. What about those of us who are buying an SE or SEL without MyFord Touch, and all we see is overall low ratings for the vehicle? I purposely bought one without MyFord Touch due to the negative reviews, but I wonder how many people out there are going to skip out on the vehicle altogether because of negative editor and owner impressions that may not even apply to their model.

Ok, I guess I will stick around then. :P I just purchased a 2011 Ford Edge SEL, silver, with the medium light gray interior. I've had it for a day now, and I'm loving it.

I'm a guy and I own a 2011 Ford Edge SEL. When I first bought it, a few guys joked with me about buying a minivan, but other guys thought it was cool. One of the guys drives a Crossover himself, so it's obvious they are just trying to give me a hard time. I think it is just an all-around great SUV. I am getting about 20 mpg in the city with plenty of power and 18" wheels. I saw someone next to me admiring my car at a red light today. I've driven a fullsize truck for the past decade, but now I'm trying the SUV/Crossover thing. There weren't really any SUV's I was interested in besides the Highlander or Edge, but the Highlander is overpriced.

Hello, I am going to order a used 2011 Ford Edge and have it sent to my local dealer from another dealer across the country. I wanted some input on whether you guys think this would be a nice car. My local dealerships don't have any like this. Here are the specs I came up with... 2011 Ford Edge 3.5L SEL Ignot silver exterior Light or dark gray interior, preferably leather NO MyFord Touch (I want buttons) The 5 spoke standard rims Sun roof Under 20,000 miles Prefer FWD, but not a big deal Questions I have... 1) Do all SEL models come with the vertical LED lights under the grill? I don't want the plastic insert. 2) What are the real world MPG expectations for the 3.5L for this year? 3) Is the 6 disc CD changer standard in the SEL? 4) Are there other customizable options I need to consider before ordering?
