2" doesn't seem like a lot but trust me.. I am a LIP fan and anything bigger than 2" lip on the EDGE and it would look dumb as hell..
Go 22" and stop talking 20's.

The shop that wants to put the MRRs on is thinking of a 2.5" lip. But they may go with a different size tire like 275/40/20.

Did anyone see Apple's WWDC conference keynote? They unveiled a new feature called iOS in the car which promises to sync iPhones w/ vehicle cpu's for things like music, maps, calling and more. It doesn't look like Ford is signing up. Too bad, MFT has some shortcomings to be sure.

Yes, I saw it and was very upset when I didn't see Ford's emblem in the supported vehicles section. Although, Jaguar was!! I really can't see manufacturers doing this, because they will lose out big time on Navigation sales and such like that.

2013 Ford Edge Sport 3.7L FWD Push button start. Ive been coming to this forum lurking for over a year since ive had my edge. Im wanting to mod it now. From what i can tell this is one of the least modding vehicles ive had. Not much is made for it. Im in alabama. Im looking to order some stuff and get it all done at one time. Can anyone get me links to things that are needed.
H&R Lowering Springs. Found them on amazon but says 1-3 month delivery time. No thanks. Where else can i order them?

Ive also heard that if you get a CAI / Exhaust get a throttle body or something? Can anyone elaborate with links to the product i need.
To get the most out of all those components you need a tune, So SCT? Does anyone have a link to that tuner also with the setup programmed in?

Well having said that... We are members on a forum that consider LED lights as MOD's.. And let me tell you, I will probably get murdered for having even said that. You can literally turn night into day with the LED's that you can put on your vehicle.. One forum member event stated he got like 6mpg better and 23HP from just putting in LED puddle lights.. It's true, bro!

Cold Air Intake will give you sound, but no gains.. That is a proven fact! The exhaust will give you a minimal 5hp gain, if that. The programmer would be SCT X3 would be your best bet, yielding you the most power, but even then.. You'd be lucky to see 10hp out of it.
Steedaedge.com has all sorts of parts, stick to the Steeda CAI, as K&N has had problems over the years with oil getting into the intake manifold and MAF. H&R makes a lowering spring, steeda offers some sway bars that are really nice, thats about it. Good luck to ya!www.steedaedge.com

It's not as easy as just sticking int he Nav SD card and it working.. You don't have the GPS equipment that is installed in the vehicle that talks with the MFT head unit. The SD CARD just holds the software and maps..

Had this same exact issue but under the driver seat on my Edge.. Turns out it was from a day of fishing. One of my buddies thought it would be OK to just drop his line weight in my floor board. They are circular weights to it rolled into that air vent area... I heard it for about 1 day, until I couldn't handle it anymore.. On the way home to start ripping everything apart, my wife giggled and said, PUNCH THIS BAD BOY AND GET ON HER, maybe that weight will roll out of the vent..
Needless to say, I punched stella, and that damn weight rolled out and into the floorboard.. Fixed my problem! Give it a try.

I see now that I didn't include the word "OFF" when typing for Overdrive.. For braking purposes, your owners manual will always state to have it in the OFF position. Your engine/RPMs may work a bit harder, so it sounds.. But its just working normal, accounting for a haul behind you!

I am at 19K on the original Pirellis and probably only have another 8-10K before I too am in the market. Currently leaning towards the Yokohamas just becasue winters in Colorado can be ugly and the reviews all say the snow performance is pretty decent. I don't want to go the dedicated snow wheel/tire route, but I also don't want to end up like this guy ->
I took the Edge up to Gatlinburg TN last year for Vacation. I know the winter in Gatlinburg TN is nothing like Colorado, but in the Smokey Mountains, It was pretty rough to me.. I am a Florida boy who has never seen snow. I was very impressed with the Yokohamas and how they responded well to the snow and traction. I would recommend them and personally, recommending a TIRE is a huge thing since they go hand and hand with Safety and ones life potentially.

Hi I've got a 2006 ford edge fwd 3.6 v6 and I am wanting to tow a 2006 lowe stinger 175 bass boat approx total weight 2500lbs. Ford says it should handle it with no problems. My concern is towing w/ fwd if been told this in not a good idea, because of overheating trannys. It is equipped with towing package. Should I have any concerns, should I use all trac when towing. Any input would be appreciated. It has 40k miles.Fishtail possibly? Thanks slackeribew
Keep your traction control ON, Select for OVER DRIVE and you'll be fine. That Edge will pull a lot more than you think. With the towing package, you have a tranny cooler. All will be fine.

There is no device added to car, i guess cause my edge has nav system, the sync system talks to my blue tooth enabled phone and ask if i want to to a report. no OBDII port involved. Yes, only $15 every 6 months savings. Agent said possible additional discount if miles driven is on low side.
Ahh ok! With all state its a device that plugs into your port. 15$ really isn't worth the entire hassle if you ask me!

TY, you are not the first person to recommend those. And yes the price is showing to be more affordable then the Scorpions I have. I only hope I can manage the tread life out of them you have. Thanks again for the recommendation.
Religiously have them rotated every 5k miles.. I got the rims/tires from Discount Tire Co. Purchased the additional 3yr warranty on them, anything happens to them.. even potholes, they are replaced free of charge. Discount Tire, rotates and balances them every 5k miles and they are wearing so even, its beautiful.. Still as quiet as the day I got them. I have pics of them in my Gallery. Glad I could help!

I have the Yokohama Parada SPEC-X's on my Edge using 22" after market rims, TSW Snettertons.. Every tire shop I go into or dealer always compliments me on my rubber choice.. I have 25k on them right now and just had them rotated last week and was told that I just hit 1/2 life on them. They are very quiet, very aggressive as far as traction and look amazing. Overall cost was good as well.

Interesting. And certainly possible although I'm not sure how good the satellite reception would be from under the dash. But Progressive at least specifically disclaims having any kind of GPS electronics in their "Snapshot" device.
With All-State and Progressive, you can log in daily to their website and review your stats.. The biggest complaint people have on these devices is that they NEVER hit the brakes hard, yet they get negative reviews on their stats for HARD BRAKING.. I personally didn't do it because All-State claims to give you a discount but the people who have done it, find its not a discount at all.. You get 10% off your Insurance Premium just for signing up, then a total of up too 20% more, equaling a total of 30%. But what they don't tell you is, its not 30% across the top.. Its 1% off here and there in different areas, but not off the total bill. All in all, people are only seeing a total of like 14$ off thier premium every 6 months.. To me that is bullshit, to have to have that device in my car for 90 days... ONLY 14$, LOL

Yeah, sometime you do and don't qualify.. I received the 750$ coupon for my 13' Fusion Titanium but wasn't able to use it, because I was given a credit of 1,000$ for some lease term.. They weren't able to combine the two.

Just purchased 2013 SEL FWD and not sure if the price I got was actually a good deal or not...
Got 205A, Vision Package, 18" chrome clad wheels, power lift gate, navigation, and panoramic sun roof for 30,470.. I like my car but thinking maybe I didnt get as good a deal as I thought and it's driving me nuts (not that there's anything I can do about it). And of course a few days after I got a $750 private cash thing.

Many members have mentioned that they received there 750$ coupon, just days after purchasing there vehicle. They mentioned they went back to the dealership and the dealership accepted the coupon, even after leaving with their vehicle. It's worth a shot.

I have an 08' edge with something that wasn't there at the beginning, it's streaking on the windshield when it rains that is so bad that poor visibility makes it dangerous to drive. Mind you I have done all the obvious stuff, new wipers (several times and not the cheap ones either...besides the cheapos) cleaned the windshield, put rain-x on it....took the rain-x off. asked my wife if she parks under a tree or something at work and she says no trees around, other than possibly some kind of pollution from a local business I was wondering if anybody else had this problem?

Never had this problem personally but I had a buddy one time that did. It was a combination of a lot of things really.. Things we would never think of happening, but it was a build up of wax, rain x, other cleaners and bug grime and what not, even possibly some SAP, over time. What he did to fix the solution was paint thinner.. He took some paint thinner and put on a cloth, wiped the entire window down very good, let it dry and then wiped the window down with "alcohol" 2-3 times.. After this, the window was damn near brand new and he never had the problem again.

H&R is the only spring out there. Eibach had a spring for a while but they have since pulled it off the market. Steeda reps H&R and they are a very good brand. Many of forum members on here have used the H&R and swear by them. As for the shocks, there aren't any companies who make an aftermarket shock for the Edge. Not enough demand for them. Just use your stock shocks, they work fine and won't bottom out or give you any problems. Some members have even spoken that they don't need the alignment after doing, so you may be fine.
What do you guys think of these?

20 just won't fill that gap... I was not interested in 22's either until I had the shop but the 20 on.. Even with my vehicle lowered with the H&R springs, it had a stock feel to it.. He slapped the 22's on and i was like damn... IT wasn't about the size, it was all about the fit and finish.. I have a feeling you will be saying the same thing once its all said and done.
