I found another advance near by that had 4 more so I bought those. Think 8 is enough, good for about 6.5 oil changes, haha.
-
I think maybe that's all my advance had. Cause I tried another and 3 was the max. I guess the deal is only available in certain zip codes.
-
I got 4 and they didn't even question it. 4 was the max they let me order online though.

I have a 2010 limited wit factory plastic wheel covers, between the spokes the covers have dirt or oxidation ,what should be use to remove dirt, thanks Marty
curious as to why you picked this thread to post your question?
i'll answer but it should go somewhere else. any kind of all purpose cleaner should work, simple green usually will do a good job diluted some. I like meguiars apc+.

not really lug size you are looking for, it's bolt pattern, which I believe is 5x114.3mm. Other things that come into play are the width of the wheel and the offset.

fouled spark plugs or dirty injectors

Interesting observation tonight, I went for a drive and had my headlights on ON, then moved them to auto. I then went into a store for about 10 minutes and auto-started my edge and both lights fired up. It seems as if my lights work on auto, if the edge hasn't been sitting overnight or for hours and hours.
So, if the truck is warm... the lights seem to fire up on auto.
Also, Re: DDM - Did they send you a new ballast - then you send the old one back, or did you have to go back to oem 9005's until the new ballast was sent back and an new one received ??
thanks -
I had to revert back to stock cause they wanted it back first. Then it took forever for the new one to come from china. If say it was almost a month turn around.
Both my bulbs would light before manually on and off but even when warm sometimes the one wouldn't fire on auto. So far so good with the new ballast.
-
the only difference I see is the new one has a sticker with specs and what not on it and the old ones were just all black, so we'll see if the old one keeps up with it.
-
so far so good with the new ballast. Auto headlights have kicked on about 3 times now and both headlights have fired up. Fingers crossed.
-
mine never flashed, that seems like a whole different issue.
-
mine was the passenger side
-
it's not very quick when the ship everything from china. I've been waiting well over 2 weeks now.
-
see that's what I thought, since if I manually turned them off and on they were fine, but DDM said they tested it and said it was bad.
-
they might have even set your tire pressure incorrectly, I've known plenty of places that have done that.
-
since it has gotten cold it could be that the gas stations switched to their winter grade fuel which is known to cause mpg to drop as well as the fact it is colder and takes longer for engine to warm up to optimal running temps. that combination will definitely drop your mpgs.
-
yeah if you want them to replace it you have to try and swap the ballast to make sure that is the issue.
i'll know if that was it once I get the new ballast which should be any day now.
-
C_Bova - Did you get any resolution on this issue?
I also have the DDM kit, and have the same Auto-on issue(s) really annoying with my remote start.
I'm waiting for my new ballast to show up, its on the slow boat from china
-
that and it takes longer for engines to warm up which uses more fuel and if you are warming your car up before you get in you are wasting more.
-
I had that issue with my DDM kit, got the wire harness and still had an issue. I sent the ballast back and they tested it and said it was a faulty ballast so they are sending me a replacement.
I swapped bulbs to make sure it wasn't that and it still happened so that's how I figured it was the ballast. I even have the good TRS wire harness and it did it with or without it.
-
you'll want that shadow from the bulb wire to either to either be on the top or on the outside so you won't see it. I don't have my HID kit installed right now because they had to send me a new ballast so I'm waiting for that to reinstall.
-
So are we saying that the little tab on the bulb may have to go into a bigger tab on the housing and vice versa ??
correct
-
it's tricky cause you can't really line the tabs up in size the way they match in the headlight. just gotta position it and get 1 tab in first then turn a bit and get the other 2 in and turn it into final spot. easier said then done right, lol.
-
The video doesnt go to the proper time. Just go to 12:00 in Dan's video and he clearly points out how to line up tabs for correct install.
actually it does because it goes to the screen where kc300 explains how to orient the bulb for no shadow.
-
on the bulb itself there is a wire that goes from the tip to the end of the bulb. if when you put the bulb in it it gets positioned so that it is at the bottom it will cast a shadow. there is nothing wrong with your headlight. kc300 had a video on this, let me find it.
edit:
i put the video at the time where it shows what you have to do

HELP Please!! Wheel Damage
in Wheels & Tires

they are chrome clad which is a fancy for a plastic chrome hub glued to an aluminum wheel. Unfortunately it isn't as easy as taking that glued portion off.
If I were you I'd just say you hit something on the road that scratched it.
