Hi all, my gas tank has developed a bad leak. Can actually see the entire back corner of the tank is all bubbly looking, like its been partially disolved by the gas. Can anyone tell me what I should expect to pay to have a replacement installed???

I have a 2008 Ford Edge. I problem I am having is that the immobilizer key doesn't always work. A lot of the time, I turn the key, and the car won't start, and the red immobilizer light on the lower left panel flashes. Other times it will start. Is there some sort of trick to it, or is my key defective??? Help!

I just picked up my new 2008 Edge SEL AWD this past Saturday. I did one road trip to get it home (I'm in Canada, bought it in Maine). For 4 hours of highway driving at 110 km/hr (about 69 mph), the computer is telling me I averaged about 18.9 mpg. Really like the car. It isn't as powerful as my 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee LTD V8, but it should be a lot better on gas. I got the black with black leather and dash, really like it, very smart looking interior.

Well, to make a long story short, I didn't qualify for the rebates (Canadian importing from US to Canada). I ended up getting a 2008 SEL with both premium and convenience package, black on black leather, with 18 inch premium painted rims, reverse sensing, roof rails, and Sirius. About 32k delivered to the border for me. Can't wait to take delivery in two weeks!

I found the same thing with my research, that Ford will apparently honor the warranty in Canada. I'm planning on buying an Edge in the US within the next couple of weeks.

Out of interest, what is a good way to verify that the computer on the car is giving accurate info about the mileage?? How do you know if it needs to be calibrated, etc?? Thanks!

Nice, Im looking to buy pretty much the same thing, an '07 SEL+ without nav or roof upgrade. Do you mind posting roughly what you paid? After rebates, I'm getting prices around $30500 + tax.. thx!

OK, thanks for the replies. Now I have to go searching to find out what 'Sync' is...

What are the main differences? Is it worth 2500 - 3000 extra to get a 2008 (assuming options are similar)?? Thanks!
