My roommate who is also a 2012 Ford Edge owner recieved a package today (Friday 13) from Ford (Letter is dated April 6th). Inside was a letter advising "SOFTWARE APPLICATION UPGRADE PROGRAM 11A02". The letter goes on to say that in the continuous spirit of improving Ford has authorized his dealer to install a software Performance Upgrade for the My Ford Touch System at no cost. It talks about how you can locate the dealerships and that enclosed they provided a new manual with the features and what not of the new upgrade. So I think, this is what is being sent out! Ps. It comes both in English & in French.

Don't put words in my mouth. Your Edge is a very useful vehicle in so many different ways. I didn't compare it to anything else. If you wanted a Murano you should have bought one. Slagging Ford because you expect it to deteriorate in 2 years makes me wonder why you even bought one in the first place? Yes, the MFT was buggy, but once you install the update it becomes a much quicker system with a better layout. A 2 way speaker is one that has two separate drivers in which to produce sound, thus can be counted as 2 speakers. I don't like it either, but having cranked my sound system to several different types of music I am thoroughly thrilled with the sound it puts out. FYI All Ford Edges come standard with the SecuriLock Passive Anti-Theft System.

How can you be upset? It's an awesome vehicle. So useful in so many different ways. Try smashing one of your windows if you don't think it has an alarm system. The 2 way speaker is actually 2 speakers in the same spot. Think of it as combining your high end tweeter (that's in the windshield column) and your low end woofer (front door) into one speaker.

Maybe try calling back and talking to someone else? The Travel Link system works fine for me. I don't get Fuel Prices but it shows the closest gas stations with N/A under the price. The weather map works fine and the traffic works in Toronto only so far as I can see. In Toronto I get road advisories and a traffic map of hotspots. Seems to work on the 401 and the QEW highways.

Oh okay, makes a bit more sense. Either way the system rocks.

Dumb question... I'm 2 speakers short of the advertised 12 speaker SONY Sound System in my Edge. Tweeters x 2 on the sides of the windshield Center Speaker in the Dash Door Speakers x 4 Tube Speakers above back seat x 2 Subwoofer That's 10

I called Sirius 1-888-539-7474 Option 1 - 5 I mentioned the Travel Link showed unsubscribed and he sent a new signal to my truck. It was about 30 seconds and all of a sudden everything showed "SUBSCRIBED" and when I went to the i side, everything was updating. They are testing it in Canada. I guess you just have to talk to the right guy. You want the guys from Nova Scotia.

I bought my truck earlier this month. I was able to install the update myself with a USB key from a download off the syncmyride website. When I did that, as I was warned, my navigation stopped working. I figured that I would "live with it" for a few weeks until I was sent the package. Today I got "impatient" and actually phoned a dealership (not the same one I bought the truck from) and to my surprise they were willing and able to swap out my SD card for a new one. They were happy I already did the update and saved them an hours time. I was in and out in 10 minutes and now I have a working updated system! Also worth noting that I was able to call Sirius tonight and have them send the Travel Link signal to my system. The weather picks up the closest American city and the gas prices don't work, but I am sure all of that is coming soon for the deprived bunch of us north of the border.
