Have your friends considered having one quit and stay at home with their kids? Sounds like it would save them money. Plus, the kids wouldn't get sick nearly as often and they would actually have a parent to raise them. Win, win, win :yup:

No math need be done. The 17s have a higher profile tire than the 18s, so their outer diameters are almost identical.

I just got back to work from a stop at Metropolitan Ford. It is a nice dealership. Talked to a salesman named Kent. I really liked the Edge, and if I end up with one, it will definitely be the Dark Amethyst. However, I have one big hangup. The rear center headrest is not removable. In every car I've ever owned that had a center headrest, it was removed and put into a drawer the day I bought it. Not sure I can get used to seeing that big lump in the middle of my rearview day after day. Any thoughts??

18" rims will actually decrease your gas mileage slightly, due to the increased rolling mass.

Never mind. The difference isn't nearly what I thought. The actual difference could easily be the larger engine block and the auto tranny. (CVTs are very light)

It's smaller than my Freestyle, but weights ALOT more. WHY??
