  1. Just a follow up. Took the Edge to the dealer and it was a cracked toner ring. So a new axle and toner ring was installed over the weekend and it seems to have solved the problem. Thanks for all of your help!
  2. Your first scenario seems more like what may be going on. If this is the case, is this a major fix/cost? Can this be determined by a tech running a diagnostic and checking the codes? Thanks for your input and I'll see what others have to say.
  3. Hi, I need help in identifying what the following problem may be. I have 2012 Edge Limited with 95,000 miles. Brakes were checked about 3 weeks ago and I was told they are all good. What is happening is when the vehicle is being driven after several miles (more than 20 say), every once in a while I will feel/hear a grinding in the brake pedal when braking at very low speeds (5-15 mph). It originally started to happen when turning left at 5-15 mph such as turning in to a driveway or parking lot, etc. It does seem to happen now when slowing down at say a stop sign when not turning at 5-20 mph, but it still happens when turning also. It doesn't happen very often and it is definitly after driving the vehicle for a while (it doesn't happen from a cold start, say when leaving for work in the morning and making a 15 mile commute). A good example is this last extended weekend (4 day trip), I put about 1,000 miles on the vehicle mostly highway driving and it happened a handful (5-6) of times when stopping at very low speed (5-15mph). Never on the highway. I'm not mechanically inclined and have been reading many of the threads and searched online to see if I can determine where to start to diagnose the problem. Any thoughts or suggestions would greatly be appreciated.
