Just peel it off and paint looks like it was before plastidipping. Basically you cannot damage anyting, if you do it wrong I had to remove my plastidipping because I accidentally scraped the plastidip during the car wash.

Why not? Any rationale for this? Britax's user manual especially mentions that tethering is recommended to use always when possible. This is quoted from user manual: "Britax recommends that the tether be used at all times when installing the child seat. Using the tether will improve the stability of your child seat and reduce the risk of injury."

My navigation (2011 Edge) freaked out few days ago. It took almost an hour to fix it and I had to reset the system to factory default. I could't write any destination by using the keyboard, but I was able to use voice recognition to add the destination. Weird. Now the navigation is also ~40-50 feet behind the actual position. For example if I am exactly on the center of the intersection, navigation shows that there is still 40 feet left before the intersection. This is really annoying. I really hope that this new navigation update will fix the problems. Does anyone else have similar problems?

We have the same problem. Previously we had rear facing Britax B-Safe Infant Car Seat placed on the passanger side of the back seat and we didn't have any problems. Now our son is too big for that seat and we had to buy bigger car seat (Britax Marathon 70-G3 Convertible). I tried to put car seat on the same place than before and follow the instuctions. We still wanted to keep rear facing installation. I tried to use tethering spots on the trunk, but then we were not able to get our son in the seat, because the tethering starps were in the way. There is no "official" tethering spots below the rear seat, so I just fastened the strap on the horizontal support structure of the rear seat (below the seat). That structure didn't feel very solid, but I still think that it was the best way to tether the seat. What do you think? BTW, I noticed that base of the old car seat streched the leather seat quite a bit and lower anchors also made the seat look pretty bad. I hope that leather will recover when car seat is removed. Are there any tricks how to make car seat look new again?

I like the looks of the Sport model and that is the reason why I want to modify my Edge to look similar However, performance and consumption wise I didn´t want to buy Sport because it is slower than FWD SE, SEL or Limited models and Sport has worse MPG ratings.

I didn´t take the emblem off. I just covered the surfaces around the emblem and then sprayed four layers of paint. Plasti dip can be easily removed from the car´s painted surfaces. Below is few more pictures how I did it: I roughly masked around areas with tape. More masking. First layer of paint. Second layer of paint. Total 4 layers. Removing the mask and ripping of the excessive plasti dip.

True. It is not the best paint job in the world, but it don´t really bother me at all You can´t see it, if you don't look very closely.

Has anyone tried PlastiDip for the front grill? I would like to try this DIY-product.
