  1. I've always bought summer tires, but when I was looking for different all-season options in 21-inch, I somehow messed up aspect ratio from 40 to 45 by accident.

Do you think a 45 would fit on Edge Sport? it's about an inch taller, same width. I would like a little more sidewall.

  2. are they a straight through design or are they chambered?

I don't know the answer to that, maybe MRT can answer that? I can only tell you what MRT says on their website description https//www.shopmrt.com/2015-UP-Ford-Edge-Sport-EcoFlow-AxleBack-Exhaust-p/91e100.htm they list "Straight through resonator design maintains flow area."

MRT Eco-Flow Axle Back Exhaust for 2015 and newer Ford Edge 2.7L with AWD. I purchased new in January for $560 from MRT had it on for about 1,000 miles. It works great, good power, acceleration and nice sound (not obnoxious at all) just a little louder and deeper than stock. The only reason I removed it is because on long trips, my wife did not like the extra exhaust noise?? Please see link below. It does require cutting the existing 2 tailpipes and welding on the MRT system. I had a local muffler shop do it for $100 because I don't have that kind of equipment.

  4. I have a 2015 Edge Sport with OEM 21s. I need tires and was thinking about dropping down to 20's before I replace my 21s. Does anybody have comparison experience with driving 20 vs 21. Is the ride noticeably different? Is it worth the cost of getting new rims? Love to hear feedback from those that have done it.

  5. OK, here is an update. I had MRT Eco-Flow Axle Back installed. I was going to try it myself but required cutting existing OEM tailpipes and then "clamping" new system on. I did not want to use clamps, I wanted it welded. I found a local shop that installed it (welded) for $100, all went well.

I like the system, I am satisfied. It's hard to describe exhaust sound in words but here goes. It is only a little bit louder than stock (except under acceleration) but it is definitely deeper. At idle and cruise, hardly notice but deeper note. Under moderate or heavy acceleration, it definitely sounds louder and performance-sporty but not bad (like a Honda Civic-type fart pipe). I will try to get some audio clips that do it justice and post when weather gets nicer.

  6. Very likely rust/corrosion at the license plate lamp assembly. If there are 2 assemblies, replace them both, being sure to apply a light coating of dielectric grease prior to final installation. That should take care of the B1215 code ... permanently.

If your Edge is an AWD, then the P164D likely means that the PCM is missing the identification info for the RDU, and it needs to be programmed in.

thanks for the license plate asy info.....regarding the PCM missing the RDU ID info, is that going to affect driveability or operations? or can I just get it done next time in for service?

  7. 2015 Edge Sport with stock 2.7 EcoBoost with 26,000m. At hard acceleration, vehicle accelerates normal until about 55mph then loses power, dings a tone, flashes a red oil can (for only a split second) then resumes normal driving. When I got home I plugged in my OBDII scanner and there were 2 codes P06DD (Engine Oil Pressure Control Circuit Performance) and P0524 (Engine Oil Pressure Too Low). Of course, I check the oil level religiously (and waited the required 30 minutes). It's at the Ford dealer now but they looked at me like I was from Mars and I didnt' get any warm and fuzzy feelings from all of them scratching their heads. Anybody see this before or experience this?

    Thanks

  8. I recently bought a used 2015 Edge Sport (25,000 miles). It seems to run great and I have no errors or codes except if I accelerate hard from a stop the vehicle stops accelerating when I hit about 60 even though I'm still applying the accelerator. I get no codes, lights or errors, it just returns to a cruising speed. Do I have driver-assist setting wrong somewhere? What am I missing? Any tips.

  9. I just picked up a used 2015 Edge Sport EcoBoost and been reading all the posts about Livernois tunes with interest. I'm not interested in 1/4 mile or racing, just a middle aged guy who wants little more power, better driveability and be able to tow my 2,000 lb motorcycle trailer. Is there only stock or "aggressive" or is there something in between that gives a little more hp and tq without the hard shifts?

    Thanks for your help
