  1. so i attempted to do the removal of my plate. bought a 7/32in drill bit, started on one, but then the rivit started to spin and broke off the plastic holding it. same thing with the other one. any suggestion on getting those rivits out without removing the grill, since all they do is spin? should i get a small bit and then move up? this is the drill bit i bought http://www.homedepot.com/p/DEWALT-7-32-in-Titanium-Split-Point-Drill-Bit-DW1380/202248748#.UZ9vmpzl8n0 the drill bit went in part of the way to make some nice sharp burs on the ends
  2. sorry for the delay, i wanted to wait until i got them in to say anything. they just send you a 9006 bulb kit. as well as it is marked on the box.
  3. interesting. i didn't even know the 9012 kits existed from trs. one thing i noticed is it says there are options like bulb color, ballasts and wire harness option, but there are no drop downs to make your choice, like if you were to pick the 9006 kit. even when you add it to your cart it just puts it there without any options color or ballasts. i sent them a message to see if there is something wrong with that page.
  4. oh yeah ddm are 50/50. out of 4 bulbs, one is crooked, one is 4300k, another is less than 5k, and the other is a little more than 5k. after the second set of bulbs i gave up and now going to replace them with the morimotos. i got the ddms because of the price and people were happy with them. maybe the batch i got was bad or whatever.
  5. So all I need is the DDM $29.95 kit or the Morimoto kit for $150? Do I need any additional harnesses or anything? As for the Morimoto kit....do I need the heavy duty harness or the standalone can-bus? Is this all the same with the SEL trim? i would get the harness. not sure about the ddms, i am not thrilled with mine, i plan on replacing them with the morimoto kit. but if you still decide on the ddm kit, get some sealant for close the hole you drill in the dust cap for the grouments, not sure what happened to mine, but i have moisture in one headlight and it is too cold to do anything about it. so here i sit, as it gets warmer it disappears, but as soon as it snows or is really cold, fogged light.
  6. well an update, the bulb was causing the issue. i put in another bulb i had from the second set i bought (finally had a nice enough day to do it), and now i have no issue with the light going so far off to the passenger side. it still does a little bit, but not to the extreme as that bulb. so out of the 4 bulbs i have 1 is crooked, 1 isn't the right color (looks 4300k) and 2 work. now i am glad i bought the second set of bulbs.
  7. I purchased a set of the DDM tuning hid kit with wireharness in mid summer, install went well. only problem i had was the bulbs were 2 different colors. so i ordered a spare set and put in the new bulb. for whatever reason they don't look like they are aimed right. it seems the driver side shoots off towards the passenger side and the passenger side goes forward a little bit. i have checked and rechecked the bulb to make sure it wasn't in upside down, or missing one of the clamps. by the drawing below this is how it seems /| / | it doesn't feel like it is correct. i looked in the manual and it only seems like you can adjust the lights up and down and not side to side, is there away to adjust them to the side? both my mazda 3 and mitsubishi outlander with factory HIDs seem to go more straight out that this set. i know i should probably reinstall that different colored bulb, but have to wait until it is dry or warmer out to mess with it. is it possible that the bulb is messed up. thanks
