Xcessive Carts

Nothing was left on or plugged in. Dealer said they charged battery, then ran multiple load test and it pasted everytime. So only time will tell if All Is Well with it.

I went out to my 6 month old 2013 Edge SEL yesterday and couldnt unlock door via remote due to the fact that it had a Dead Battery. While waiting for a buddy to give me jump, I saw on the MFT screen BATTERY SAVER MODE flash then off, then SYNC did a System Maintenence Update. Not enough power to restart but MFT did its thing. Jumped it and noticed the battery indicator EYE was bright red. Dealer said it would keep the vehicle overnight and run a test on battery, then IF it fails, they will replace it. REALLY.... 7000 miles and 6 months old and the battery craps out? Nothing was left on, and I rarely ever have the radio on without the vehicle running.

I have been tinting my windows since 1989. I got pulled over in 1990 by a Michigan State Trooper and recieved a ticket. But, he told me If i had a letter from a Opthamologist stating that i required the tint to releive eye strain,the ticket woould be nulified. I did that aned it was taken care of. I have been stop many times since then,and after showing paperwork from Doctor, i have always been let go. For some reason, tinted windows has been a real sore spot for State Police, never been pulled over for it by a local cop. Nothing makes a car look better than tinted front door windows, watch commercials for the auto companies, when they show their cars on the road, all the windows are tinted very dark.

I have a 2013 SEL with the 3.5, so far i have 5000 miles on it with no issues. I have pulled my 6x12 Cargo trailer locally a few times and the Edge has no problem with the 2000lb weight. Power is nice, accelration is good. Take off the traction control, and it will spin the tires quite nicely, At full throttle the tires break loose at about 4500 rpms till it shifts into second. LOVING IT SO FAR. Yesterday we got 7" of snow, gonna take it out for a ride today and see how it handles.
