  1. When i worked for Ford (salaried @ a Ranger plant) i owned a BMW. The security guard at the entrance stopped me one day and motioned to roll the windows. He proceded to tell me that in years past they would not allow a foreign car into the parking lot. This happened in the late 90's. This is also when the quality of Ford products sucked big time. I ventured to get an Edge this time around due to A-plan, incentives and incredible enterior quality for a Ford. I only hope Ford continues this "bold" redesign through their whole line.
  2. i haven't driven a Ford since I bought an Escape for my wife about 6-7 years ago. I was not impressed with quality or workmanship. The Edge feels like a good quality import... Sad but true.
  3. This car definately got missed sprayed by the bots AND the paint inspection folk missed it too. WOW is all i can say. When a car like this makes it through paint and gets caught before it is loaded on a truck, it is returned to "body/paint shop" for a manual paint fix. Minor under spray happens all the time and gets fixed sometime after it comes out of ovens. However this one IS RIDICULOUS! Take it to a Ford/Merc dealership and it should be taken care of.
  4. How do you remove the bracket if it's already installed. It seems like it's rivetted in place.
  5. my 08 awd with 20's has the same sound coming from the rear left. I took it to Ford and they ordered me a new wheel. Seems like the cladding is the problem.
  6. Dang! I have the same problem on my 08 AWD. I purchased the showroom car which had some fancy wheels from the accesories dept. I guess thy must have just grabbed an older set of 20's from stock. I'll call them ASAP.
  7. For starters i would like to get passed the first screen where you have to press "agree." Does anyone know how to disable that?
  8. I live along the Wasatch Front and recently got rid of my 05 Acura TL for an 08 AWD Edge. I did so because my TL with snow tires was having a bit of trouble going up a somewhat steep road that takes me home. This happened during a recent snow storm. We have had a similar storm since i got the Edge. Let me tell you... the AWD is money well spent in my opinion. The "secure" feeling you get from driving an AWD car during snow/rain is worth it.
  9. 2008 Creme Brulee on black. Fully loaded with Sport Suspension.
