My '08 Edge has been at the dealer since June 2nd and I'm sure I won't be hearing about a new tank any time soon yet. Question for others involved: have you asked for a new fuel pump to be installed with new tank? I asked my dealer to pre-order a Ford/OEM pump for mine. I have 100k on my old one and now is the time to replace it. I too will be glad to get mine back, but the '11 MKX/loaner car has been a nice replacement too.

Hi all, Thanks for making me know I'm not alone here. Heading out for the Sunday paper, sitting at the red light and the radio (basic FM) shut off. At first I thought I had a message coming through my Droid, nope it took a second, but the radio actually turned itself off? I turned it back on, it's fine? Only owned this Edge for a few months and was concerned it was an isolated incident. I love this vehicle and would hate to move it along so soon. Thanks for your information.

Welcome to the club...I'm the "other new guy"? I just picked up a '08 Ltd/Awd in Metallic Red with tan leather, 18" chromes and the huge sunroof. My daughter calls it the spaceship. I can't figure out if it's a car or a truck as we replaced our S10 crew-cab p/u after 12 years of service.I can't believe how many Edges I see all over now? Best of luck with your new one!

Thanks Joehio. I am below Allentown, but still climb some mountain areas. Mostly hwy to/from the shop and do use cruise as much as possible. Since purchased, I have gone from 16.0 to 16.9 so it looks promising. Thanks for the advice. Whatever the mpg, I just love this vehicle!

Thanks to both replies. We really didn't buy the edge for the MPG, as it replaced a 4WD pick up truck and MPG wasn't the issue. This is really a nice ride and we are very happy with it. Love the huge sunroof and Sync. Sudzguy.

I recently picked up an awesome '08 Edge LTD/AWD and started with 16mpg, mostly hwy(60-70mph just to not get run over?) during the week. Found dealer had 18" tires set at 30psi?, bumped to 40psi (44max), now up to 16.7mpg. I was told about the K&N to improve, but not sure at this point. You all have been at this a lot longer than me, any thoughts? Thanks.
