I had a issue with the axxcess unit to my alpine. for some odd reason I had to turn the radio off and let it cycle a few time before it would start working properly.

I believe PAC or metra has the adaptor that you are looking for. I have the alpine double din and can use the Bluetooth to call someone in the same fashion. I did however loose the press to talk feature on my steering wheel controls. The parts would roughly run anywhere from $100-$200 depending on the secondary LCD screen. Good luck with the adaptor if you chose to go that route.

If your upgrading to a touch screen with nav, and the possibility of Bluetooth built in the new radio. What would be the reason to keep SYNC?
