Hey Claude, AC was draining properly so I didn’t suspect that being the problem. My Edge doesn’t have a sunroof. My brother-in-law actually came over and removed the paneling where the wiper blades rest on. Seems like I had plenty of tree leaves and sludge in there that clogged the drains under there. Of course while doing this it began to rain, fortunately no rain enter the car. Yeah I throughly cleaned the carpet, and shop vac the hell out of it. I also peeled the carpet as far back as I could and used towels to soak up as much excess water in the underlying padding. Afterwards I put some baking soda boxes in there and left the windows down to soak up as much moisture in the vehicle as possible. Hopefully it doesn’t happen again. Thanks for the suggestions. Mike

Hey Fellas, I got a 2008 Ford Edge SE, and today I went out to the car and the entire passenger side floor was flooded. Also, I must mention we had a downpour today. I use to have issues with AC clogging and having water in the dash, for that I use to simply unplug the hose on the driver side underneath the mat, and blow some compressed air in the line and bam the car would drain the trapped water. So today's event was a little different because when I opened the car door the passenger side floor had a nice inch or so of water already. I checked around the windshield (which is still the orginal) and didn't notice any cracks or splits in the seal around it. The roof was perfectly dry within the vehicle. Another question for you if you don't mind. When the starter was replaced the car started about 1/2 dozen times (over a 2 day period), is it fair to assume that the battery had enough juice in her to kick the starter over those 6 times?

Yea, I don't think it's the key like you said, cause he called a few days ago about bringing up my spare key, which I did, cause he believed the key could be corrupt in some way I assume. The spare key didn't work as well. I appreciate the feedback and when I get the issue resolved I'll be sure to post.

I called the shop to ask that they run a load test on it and to ensure that it checks the CCA against what is listed on the battery. When I called a few days ago he mentioned it could be a computer issue with the vehicle, does that sound plausible to anyone? When I get a reply back from the shop I will let you guys know what happen.

Battery is relatively new, it was changed about 2 years ago if that. My brother-in-law gave it a boost before I took it to the shop, once there when I turned off the vehicle it didn't start again. I'll call the shop and recommend having the battery load tested.

Hey guys, I have a 2008 Ford Edge SE that won't start anymore. Before the vehicle stopped starting I could hear the starter being very labored starting (took a few extra milliseconds for the vehicle to kick over). Eventually a few days later it stopped starting completely, when I put the key in the ignition and try to start it, nothing, no clicking, everything else worked, lights, radio, etc., easy fix it's the starter I thought. I took it to my mechanic and he concurred and he put in a new starter and for a day and a half it was great, she had such a smooth start up. Then BAM, stopped working again, same exact problem, put the key in to start and nothing. It's back at the shop now, he believes it is a computer issue. Just wondering if anyone else might have had this issue, or have any other thoughts on what the problem could possibly be? As always, appreciate the help and feedback. Mike

I own a 2008 Ford Edge SE, lately it seems the air has been very temperamental. When I start the car the air may or may not kick on. When it doesn't I try to flip through all the settings but usually to no avail. Though sometimes I may leave the air "on" and while driving for awhile it kicks on, but this is not every time. When I do go through the different settings, floor, defroster, etc, I can hear clicking as if the signal is going through. Some other things I notice, if the heat/AC is on it runs finds, though if I turn it off it might not kick back on. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks, Mike
