Is it possible to get 100k plus off the 2.7 gen 1 without problems?

I will tell you my 2015 Edge Sport I bought brand new in August 2015 was tuned at 10,000 miles. From 10-20,000 miles I beat the living shit out of it datalogging for my tune. Probably about 200 1/4 mile runs and 30-100 runs, 0-60 runs in a 4 week period. I’m now at 150,000 miles and thats 140,000 tuned miles. I have yet to have a single issue with the engine besides a bad alternator.

I tried to look up the Turbo Tech Racing RMM, and found nothing for the Edge. I am interested because at some point my aftermarket RMM might fail as well. Please keep us informed on this project, what you find out could help me in the future.

HUGE difference. The UP has between 50-75k on it, cant really recall mileage but does have 6 years. The center of it fell out soon as I slid it off the bracket it bolts to. The TTR unit feels and looks so much better. NVH is def increased but does not bother me. Its nice to actually get power down again. My RMM has been out for over a year. Wife used the Edge as a daily and she has had her new Tundra since Dec 2022 and she complained of a clunk months prior to that. The TTR unit is only $140 too. Id say this feels way better than the UP ever did too

    Umm...

    Based on what?

I was under the impression that after 2018 the Gen 2 2.7 was being used throughout the brand. This is a primary sticking point for me because the Gen2 engine uses a wet (oil exposed) belt to drive the oil pump, which gives me serious concerns about the reliability of the oil system.

The Gen 2 is only in rwd platforms. Transverse applications did not receive the GEN2 Nano, only F150, Bronco and Ranger

I'm not 100% sure but it looks to have the 2.7 Nano engine which has port direct fuel injection (2 injectors per cylinder). I'm trying to verify.

Yes its a Nano engine, no its not the GEN 2. The 2.7 in your 2024 is same as the one in my 2015

  5. You might enjoy a newer vehicle but Id keep your current edge a while longer. I def would not trade it in for another edge, on its  9th year and death bed when there are other newer platforms on the market. My 15 sport is at 149,000 miles and 139,000 has been tuned and abused and the only thing Ive replaced due to a breaking is an alternator.

Hit a curb with the rear right tire while turning and damaged the tire. Immediately got a low tire pressure warning.

Installed the donut spare and used the vehicle for approximately half a day till I got a replacement tire. What was interesting is that although I did not get an AWD off warning in the instrument cluster, the Edge was actually running FWD only. As it should as per the owners manual. I confirmed that with the AWD Guage and how easily traction control would come on. And the Torque Steer. Can't imagine how 2015 FWD Sports are driving daily like that.

Selling a custom made cold side charge pipe made by DTP Fab. 1st pic is what you're looking at. 2nd pic is a powder coated one in comparison to stock. This is brand new and never installed. This is a pipe that the fastest Edge helped get fabricated. Fits 15-18 Sport and 19-21 St with the 2.7L tt. I was going to pair this with an intercooler but am no longer going that route. $225 Shipped UPS with a tracking number and insurance.
