We are the only country with the technology to build such an aircraft,  not we are the only country to have them. I guess I did not make that clear.

Nah we are the only country crazy enough to fly them and now we have convinced another country. Riding in them is an exhilarating experience

It takes a minute or two to customize the tune for the specific vehicle Strategy Code.  If it is a code they have seen before then it is quicker than if it is a new code.  When I got my last TSB performed it changed mine so the old tunes did not work any longer and I needed them updated.  I sent them the information needed and within 2 days I got the new tune.  This is no different than with any other tuners, you send them the information that they require and they make the tune for you.  The Livernois tunes are canned but they still do need to be tweaked for different codes.

yes I know how strategy codes work and tuning. Never seen anyone wait longer than 48hrs

Yesterday evening, I was little frustrated about the fact that my tuner would no longer connect with my PC after Livernois sent me an update to upload in the tuner so I turned everything off and went to bed. This morning, I turned the PC back on and thought I'd give it another try… and this time, it did connect! :yahoo: I guess that it's because after uploading the update, I needed to restart the PC but I just didn't know…   I sent Livernois the stock tune so they can make me some custom tunes… This might take a few days so, more updates later!

    You get it working yet?

Is this correct, I just got a used sct x4 programmer for 15 edge sport and was told it doesn't come with preloaded tunes? It's all custom?

Correct, no canned tunes. Cheapest option is to purchase a tune from unleashed

Two recent upgrades that have worked out really well.

    1. I pulled off my original screen protector (made from a leftover tablet screen protector) and replaced it with this one. https://amzn.to/37FE1px  (photo below) It has reduced glare by a small amount when the roof is open but the BIG change is a total lack of fingerprints.  I constantly had oily smudges on the old protector this one just stays clean.  Easily installed with no change in sensitivity on the screen.  The photo is after a week of use.  I didn't wipe the screen before taking the shot....no fingerprints.

I bought this one when I got my edge

I've been in my Edge ST now for a bit over two months and have enjoyed every minute of ownership so far.  It replaced a 2016 BMW X1 and the ST blows it away in almost every aspect except a few fit & finish details (I found a few small paint imperfections and the driver side rear taillight housing gets condensation in it and it squeaks against the rear fender).  But otherwise the engine, performance, comfort, and technology, have all exceeded my expectations!

My other vehicle is a 2006 Volvo S60R.  I find a similarity with the Edge ST in that they are both "wolves in sheep's clothing"... and RARE.  I am a contributor at the S60R swedespeed.com forum and we have a thread for S60R sightings.  It seems silly... but we get all giddy when we see another S60R on the road or even in a parking lot - kinda like a unicorn sighting!  And we occasionally get a "That was me!" reply. LOL

I have yet to see another Edge ST on the road.  Has anyone come across another ST other than at the dealership lot?

I love the S60R, it's a rare vehicle and then when Evolve starting making kits they looked even better!

As for ST sightings, I've driven across the country twice since they came out and lived in 3 different states. I have seen one driving in the wild. I've seen more brand new Explorer STs on the road than I have Edge STs and to really put it in perspective, I've seen more Bugatti Veyrons driving on the road than I have STs

On the other hand, on my Edge with LMS, the number of key cycles (mode9) is not affected by the flashing process, which is one way Ford had mentioned as a way to figure out if a tune was flashed

way more variables than this but have you tested this with Forscan? I'm curious. Though I had my transmission housing replaced with tune still applied so it's safe to say Ford Corporate is not really checking for tunes on these

Thanks for the info. What risks are you referring to with LMS? Is their tune more aggressive? I read they were very conservative somewhere. I emailed Torrie at unleashed asking a few questions. He told me most people run low 13’s in the 1/4 mile. Is this true? Are his tunes more up to date than LMS?

LMS and Unleashed both run low 13s a few LMS have broken into 12 but DA/track prep/tires, so many variables. I can't speak as far as what they do. That's a foreign language to me.  I just know from reading from tuners in all the facebook groups.

  9. You do not want a SSI tune. I dont know how he is still tuning vehicles.

normal everyday driver. You will not notice a difference between unleashed and LMS. Its literally tenths of seconds at the track. cant go wrong with either on the sport but LMS has a shitty rep with they way they tune (not to customers but other tuners are not a fan of some of the risks they take) I’ve been Unleashed tuned for 60k now.

Special_K, may i request that you add a full list of the mods done to your Edge in the signature?  I know the parts list for the 2.7 is published, but I am not sure exactly what all is done specifically to yours.  The list is so long that when I am asked to recite it, I constantly keep leaving items off of it!

    TYVMIA! :)

that may exceed stingy signature limits...lol

Can you "tune" these?? … I agree with you that it would help "ease the feeling" especially if it makes it faster than a stock ST! :2thumbs:

    Claude.

yes, livernois 2.0 Tuning, gives you 218hp/314tq at wheels, which is way better than the 204hp/237tq it baselines at. Pretty good numbers since the 2.7TT is a slug in stock form at 225hp/315hp at the wheels.

Claude, It's not impossible for the 2.0 to be modified to make more maximum HP & TQ than the 2.7 TT. It's just not going to happen with the stock turbo and a canned tune. And even if it were possible the 4 cylinder transmission wouldn't be able to handle it.

it def can handle putting down better numbers than a stock 2.7TT. There are big turbo fusions running around making way more power on same transmission
