  1. Update...Brought it back to the tire shop where I purchased. They rebalanced yet again, for the 4th time...Vibration went away which is good... They said the rims aren't bent, the car wasn't pulling but I had them do an alignment since its never been done. So all is good....for now. Curious to see what happens when I get them rotated in 6,000 miles... Side note, any tips on removing the gunk where the old weights were placed inside the rim? I have a lot of it now!
  2. Recently changed my 22s back in April of this year. The place I purchased them from had a really hard time balancing the tires, it was to the point where I actually went somewhere else because I was fed up. The new place rebalanced and things were fine...until I rotated them last weekend after 6000 miles. When I am turning left from 60mph and up, there is a vibration. The vibration only occurs when turning left and can be felt a little in the steering wheel but I notice it more in my seat. My Edge has AWD and 60k miles. Something tells me maybe this isn't a wheel balance issue. What I do know is this vibration started after I replaced my original tires back in April. Thoughts?
  3. I replaced mine at 42,000 miles. I didn't care to buy Pirelli again, too much money and I wasn't really pleased with the longevity that I got out of them. I replaced with Yokohama Parada Spec-X back in April and love them.
  4. I use 18 Bridgestone Blizzaks here in New England. I have had them for three years and would recommend them to anyone. Expensive, but well worth the money.
  5. Thanks for the help everyone. Had the tires rebalanced and they found that the front right was the problem and has been smooth ever since. The tires are Yokohama Parada Spec X.
  6. Russ, Thanks for the response. So it sounds like the weights are not really necessary to have on. Should I have them remove the remaining weights off of the tires before having them rebalance?
  7. Looking for some help as I am not familiar with the terminology and area... I had my 22 Pirelli's replaced with Yokohama Pirada Spec X's two weeks ago. The new tires are great, but I started noticing a slight steering wheel vibration at around 45-55 mph. After looking at the tires, I noticed what I think are counter weights missing from the inside of the rims. Looks like this damage could have been done when they were putting the new tires on the rims. They look like a strand of 2 to 4 grey cubes attached in a single line. Some of my rims have them, while some do not. Are these in fact counter weights and could that be the reason for the wheel vibration? It's not a terrible vibration, but it's noticeable. Any help is appreciated!
