  1. I just replaced the pads on my edge. However, the replacement pads didn't have any nipples on them. No, they are not from Ford either. Will this be an issue? My right rear was sticking and I replaced the caliper and rotors. The hose from the caliper to the chassis is on order so I took for a test drive. Still sticking. The rotor was way too hot! I guess it is parked until I can replace that hose also.
  2. I will just say this on this post. You should never have to buy and extended warranty. That tells me they don't expect the vehicle to last past a certain point. If Ford had faith in their product they would have a basic warranty that was 100k miles 10 years. Not this stupid 36k or 6 years whichever comes first. I put 33,000 on my vehicle the first year. However, I have not had any major issues. All others were covered under TB. If the extended warranty is not actually through Ford I would never buy it if is through another party. To difficult getting them to follow through. Last, whether you are the first owner or second owner it shouldn't make a different if whether Ford backs up their product or not. I will have to disagree with the moderator here. The fact that someone bought it used might be the only way they could get into the specific Ford vehicle. I should not have to buy NEW to get Fords support or respect. That is just backwards thinking in my opinion and like the moderator said he can have an opinion then so can I.
  3. What is sad about this, is there is obviously and issue. I am having the same issue now. May 2013 for edge special order. Earlier in the 2014 I had this warning a couple times and it went away. Now today it is doing it again. I just picked it up from the Dealer for a recall issue and they didn't say anything about when I picked it up. A battery should be lasting much longer. I have never replaced a battery early than 4 years and have went as long as 7 years in one of my vehicles. The vehicle is only a little over 1.5 years old!
  4. I have a 2013 edge and I put 1 x 9005: Morimoto Elite HID System (Elite9005) Ballasts Morimoto 3Five (35w) Kelvin 5000K Wire Harness 9005 Wire Harness Type Standalone Can-Bus From Retrofitsource.com A friend bought a kit from DDM tuning which was cheaper than mine by a lot but the connectors were cheap and one broke. On a side note the Can-Bus on my model is not needed. I don't get a warning light when it isn't being used. My kit took about an hour to install and I deviated only slight from the retrofitsource procedure making it slightly easier to get the connectors through the dust cap to the lights. Also contray to popular belief. The higher Kelvin lights do not put out more light. 4300k is the best and as you go up they loose light output. Prinzll is absoutely correct on this topic. I also had to adjust the lights after the install. People were flashing me but I just durned them down and equal amount one day. I will be going throught the adjustment procedure in the manual tonight.
