  1. Have similar kind of issue in my 2013 Edge SE FWD.

been given to dealership four times but they remain unable to solve the problem.

1st Visit: check the vehicle & remain unable to hear any abnormal sound, return back the vehicle without doing any thing. -> problem unsolved

2nd Visit: Do resurfacing of Brake discs, check Brake Pads, check suspension / shocks, check for any loose nut / bolt etc. -------> problem unsolved.

3rd Visit: find out may be lower control arm is faulty, change the LH & RH lower arms. -------> problem unsolved.

4th Visit: Keep the vehicle for 4-days & upon return said that problem is solved now. --------? however problem still unsolved.

never went for 5th visit and later decided to sold the vehicle........

  2. I am experiencing this problem since the day my vehicle got hit from another car on right side of my vehicle, impact came to my vehicle on wheel, fender and passenger side door. (pics attached)

Ford Body shop has repaired the door & Fender and replaced the wheel rim, as it has big scratch on it.

after the repair work done every morning when i cross first speed-breaker (bump) on my way to office it gives me click sound. I am unable to get from where it is coming (whether suspension, control arm or any other part connected to the front right wheel).

This sound come only if vehicle speed is 20km/hr or above. if it cross the speed breaker below this speed then sound wont come.

I have notified dealer in this regard, they kept the vehicle for 2days but remain unable to find anything.

    Need expert opinions.

  3. There is no difference between the fobs used on Canadian vehicles vs the American ones. So if it works in the US, it will work in Canada. However if your original fob is broken and you only have one other one, you will likely have to take the new one to a dealer to have it programmed. If your old broken fob works just enough (when placed in the "dock" in the console) and you have another working one, you can program a new one yourself.

It also depends on the frequency of the transmitter (keyfob) and receiver (in vehicle) i have a key which donot work due to frequency mismatch. My car is build for 433Mhz frequency.

While vehicles sold in US have different frequency, so it better to workout before any purchase.

  4. 2011 awd sel with 30,000 miles. Dealer did 4 wheel alignment and there are two brand new tires on rear. Vehicle was purchased used with 21,000 miles and two tires were pretty worn. Rides just fine with no vibrations but there is a constant thumping that sounds like it's coming from the right rear. Any ideas??

I have the same prob but dealer is unable to figureout

  5. Can you describe the sound you are hearing, Sajid? Could be sand/rock caught in the brakes or could be warped rotors.

Sound is coming like Dhuk only once or sometimes twice (Dhuk Dhuk) not more

Could be a warped rotor. why becaus few months ago a car hit my edge on front RHS wheel resulting in damage to Fender and scratches on wheel rim, fender has been repaired and wheel rim has been replaced under insurance coverage.

this sound has been started after that.

One more thing is when vehicle is parked more then 6-8 hrs and after that when you start driving it gives sound on bumps for initial 500-800mtrs drive but then this sound goes off.

  6. Edge SE-2013

    35000km

    - Steering Pump faulty (Replaced under warranty)

    - Squeeking noice from Driver side door (weather strip replaced under warranty)

    - Faulty driver Side Door Ajar switch (Replaced under warranty)

    - Rear Bumper (driver side) Popping out issue (solved by body shop under warranty)

    - Left side door alignment issue (solved by body shop under warranty)

    - Front Windshield broken (replaced under warranty) due to crack comes from inside vehicle.

    - Driver side door makes sound upon opening / closing (resolved under warranty)

    - Latest prob: Upon sudden braking even at 30km/hr speed, strange noise from the front right side, still to be invetigate by the dealer.

  7. Besides losing the rear windshield wiper arm cover, the visors will get scratched up pretty good.

Its never safe to go to those anyway. Mad scratches yo!!!!! Be careful. I like washing my baby myself. Although the in channel ones would be better than the stick on type. Seems less edges to get caught on. I say its OK but don't try it cuz they'll prolly rip off. NAh....doubt it.

    Thanks for Feedback

The only reason to go for auto wash is time saving. I love to wash the car by myself but in Summer (+40 deg) its unbearable.

  8. I am looking to install OEM daytime running lights on my edge. The part comes with a two wire pig tail. Is this a DIY install? What additional parts needed to install this item? Does the dealer need to activate this? Are the DRL on even when the headlights are on? Please offer any assistance. Thank you!

These are not DRLs and if u connect OEM lights, no need of activation is needed,

I have already put it on my SE, these are also not visible in day time. if u need DRL in place u need some aftermarket lights wih LEDs.

  9. Myself and one of my friend purchased 2013 Edge in sep-2012.

Mine is SE (FWD) with 29,000 km on the odo meter and so far I have several issues that made me frustrating.

So far below is the list of problems I have / had:

    1) @10000km - Steering pump creating noise - dealership took almost week to fix the problem by fixing new pump.

    2) @24000km - Driver Door Latch Issue - Even door is closed but it shows that door is open- dealership took 3days to fix the problem by replacing door latch.

    3) I hate noises in vehicle - Multiple noises coming from doors, seats & rear hatch - Took two trips to the dealership driver side front door noise exist.

    4) @12000km - Front Wind screen cracked automatically while vehicle was parked, cracked appeared on inner side of the screen - replaced under warranty - took 3days by dealership.

    5) @28500km - Vibration in the steering wheel and in the front passenger seat when driving over 80 km/h - Dealership want to retain the vehicle for atleast 3-days to digonose and fix the problem.

    6) @28000km - Front Shocks issue, right side shock making noise on bumps - Dealership need 1day to digonose the problem and if replacement required another 2-3days will be needed.

Either I'm unlucky and the most worst vehicle out of ford factory comes to me but i am sure my next vehicle will not be another Ford.

    * Same view from my friend also.
