On 2013 Edge the HD radio( when on an HD channel) the radio periodically loses the signal or cuts out and comes back on after a second or two. My first HD radio, not sure if this is a somewhat normal issue or not. Sirius sometimes does something similar in Edge and our F150. But they seem to be under trees, bridges or something like that. Wondering if HD has an issue?

SO FINALLY the module came in last week and Edge now has working remote start. Wahoooo. Only took 3 months. Same thing happened with my 09 F150 power steering line leaked and no parts available and on National back order. Also took 3 months. Must be magic number for Ford parts suppliers.

Ok. Got to say this is odd but, the wife said she just wanted to try and start the Edge with her remote.....Guess what IT STARTED!! What the hell. So we start thinking maybe the emergency brake was not on before when it was tried. Took it off, still started. Thought it might be my remote was the issue. Went and got my remote......started again. Have no clue, but will wait and see if it is still working when dealer finally gets module in. Little crazy. Did not do anything differently than we did before. Wow. Technology.

Spoke to dealer service manager yesterday. They say it is a module and is on National back order. Last spoke with service writer he said he would contact Ford area rep and put in a Customer service call for me if I wanted.....said sure go ahead. Don't think it will help. We'll see. Still sucks though. Will wait and see. If known problem how come not around for a 2013 Edge....14's almost here.

Picked up Edge from dealer after 3rd day and no part. Told them to call me when part comes in. That was last Thursday. Today Tuesday morning they called and said no part yet. Still trying to get the part. Lucky it is not an important part....smh

Update........Day 2 at dealer. First phone call at end of day I was told after an exhaustive diagnostic routine....yeah right, they had to order a module. Today late afternoon call, sorry wrong module came in. What do I want to do.Will give me a rental no cost. If he had looked I have first day rental in my extended warranty. It's wife's Edge. She is pissed. Said another bad omen. Wants her old Explorer back. smh

Switch under hood is there and in place. Held it down by hand and tried to start with remote button.....Still nothing, did same thing. Flash flash...pause and horn beep. Looks like dealer try next.

Sorry for slow reply. Out of town not with Edge to test your responses. Dealer called and left message to bring in and they found out what to test, but most likely a bad module. Will try under hood first. Thanks Will post fix when done.

Sorry did not see your post. Bought 2003 Explorer new. Had 74k miles on it when sold. Was a good truck ( suv) no real issues, even pulled boat with it a while until we got the 09 F150. Had 97 F350 diesel 4x4 prior. Just was time to move Explorer with the deals offered. New Edge Tuxedo Black. Have not had a dark vehicle for last three. All versions of Ford whites.

I have a 2013 Edge and am wondering how the wifi is supposed to be used. I guess the wifi is a little misleading. I assume after looking around that is needs an air card type usb attached and not an actual wifi from a home or other similar place, or maybe your cell phone as the way to attach it. Cannot find anything in detail. Had an online chat session with Ford site and said there is a known issue with the log in of password for wifi ( it will not allow you to put in letters only numbers). Also said update out in a few weeks. Maybe I just don't get it....Any suggestions. Wondering why we would need it in the car and what to use for if you have a smartphone. smh

2013 Edge Ltd with factory remote start does not work. Had Edge for 2 months never really tried remote start. Did what manual & key tag says. Hit lock button once and start button twice. Lights blink when I hit lock, blink twice when I hit start, small pause nothing happens, then horn beeps once. But car does not crank or start. ???? Called and stopped at dealer and they do not have any answers. Will look into and call me to see how to proceed. Have tried all issues I could think of, valet setting, remote start enabled, climate changed ( last setting or auto), other remote. Just looking to see if others have seen this and had it figured out or fixed.

Had this post on another thread....... We have a 2013 Edge LTD fwd w/ v-6. Had 700 + mils on it mostly local round town and could see as it got higher in mileage it was going up. Took a road trip recently from Jersey to the Keys and back. Left at about 800 miles. On way down mpg was different on each tank based on speed we were traveling. A lot of 70+, some stop and go in Northern Virginia. Early mileage was running 21, 22. Overall down was 23.2. Now trip home it again increased. Actually had it getting 26+ and did hit the 27 figure for a while coming up out of the Keys doing 60 65 mph. The rest of the way home we were running 70, 75 and hit 80 for a while. Yeah I know it was fast but traffic was even faster at times. So what I'm saying overall on way home it averaged 25.3. Seems to get better as mentioned. Hoping to see the 19 round town and would be good with 25, 26 on highway. No complaints so far. Well maybe would like a bigger fuel tank. Less fuel stops. smh

Had similar issue. It took me a while to figure it out. The Edge system works and looks different from my 09 F150. There is a tab next to weather map that says current I believe for where you are now. Tap that. Also a button that says my weather places . Look at that to see where it has you on that screen. Don't think it is a system error, just us getting to know our way around it. Hope that helps.

That is what I was thinking on the portable dvd player. The apple tv looks interesting, but not sure about the use of the wifi in the vehicle. I had read the other posts about it but also question when to use it. If you have a smart phone I wonder why you would want vehicle to hook up to it. Not like it has a browser or anything. ( not having the appletv as you have.) Also I like the 10g hard drive in my pickup cause I copy all my cd's to it. I don't have an ipod, wife does. Overall the screens seem different to me. I guess a good way to describe is my pickup seems a little more vivid or sharp and the Edge is more pastel color looking and not crisp. Even backup camera is not as clear as truck. Just my opinion.
