  1. As not to duplicate, please see post in 3.7L Edge Sport Forum
  2. Theres been some talk on this forum about a quality tuner & tunes for our '12-'13 Edge Sport 3.7L & 3.5L. Being an SCT dealer with my Mustang & Hemi CAI business, I've talked to SCT directly. They have no "canned" tunes for the '12-'13 Sport 3.7L or 3.5L at this time, not enough demand. But, there are individual SCT dealer performance shops that have custom tunes for your Sport, SE, SEL, or Limited "if" they've tuned an Edge 3.7L or 3.5L V6 with the same PCM (computer) code & fuel/air/timing perimeters as yours. One is MPT Performance, Longwood, FL. I emailed Mike about my '13 Edge Sport along with a photo of my PCM code/info. He has custom tuned a '12 Edge Sport 3.7L with my '13's PCM #HGW3 & perimeters. Being little, if anything has changed between the two years engines, drivetrain, computer fuel/air/timing perimeters, he said, "I'm good to go." Check with him if your interested, maybe he can help you out as well. A very helpful, fast replying guy! You can buy the SCT X3 tuner loaded with tunes, or just the tunes if you have an "unlocked" SCT X3 tuner you can load/use. http://www.morepowertuning.com/edge These tunes will work with either stock intake or K&N CAI (which is similar size & air flow as stock). NOTE: Your PCM can adjust on it's own 10% +/- air flow. Hence how it runs well in either hot thin/less summer air and cold dense/more winter air. Better actually in winter because more air equals more hp & torque. If you know of any other SCT performance shop w/tunes let us know
  3. I've been asked about the Green Filter I'm using in my '13 Edge Sport & '08 Shelby GT500 (700hp): Green Filter USA, 100% cotton, cleanable/reoilable filters use deeper air filter pleats than other filters with a pleated design, creating 20% more filtration surface. Plus other important benefits over stock, K&N, & others. See independent review link below: http://forums.focaljet.com/fswerks/669995-itg-green-air-filter-details.html A simple video from Green Filter. We've dynoed Mustangs with various filters and found same results. 3.7L Chipped?

Green Filter USA filter #2313, is replacement for K&N CAI filter #RF-1048 @ 6" ID opening, 5.5" long. https://www.greenfilterusa.com/store/2313 Green Filter USA, 100% cotton, cleanable/reoilable filters use deeper air filter pleats than other filters with a pleated design, creating 20% more filtration surface. 3.7L Chipped?

'13 Edge Sport, 3.7L, FWD, with Jet Performance Module #71103 (Auto Anything), stock air intake/box, w/Green Filter USA filter #7035 (10%+/- air flow then K&N) @ 10 hp & .5 to 1 mpg gain on 87 octane gas (expecting better w/93 octane). Good/stock driving characteristics & throttle response, slightly better sit-of-the-pants acceleration thru-out the power band. No ill effects. Next test, 93 octane on this set-up. Then, add a smoother/freer flowing K&N CAI w/Green Filter USA filter #2313 & Jet Module to see if I realize any added benefits @ acceleration, hp, mpg, etc. As an SCT dealer with my Mustang & Hemi CAI's business, SCT has no tune or projected date for one for the '12-'13's and with no "larger then stock" CAI/MAF w/tune on the market, this is the best set-up I've found w/o a custom dyno tune. I'll let you know my findings as I play around here. NOTE: Ford PCM's (on board computers) have a adaptive learning phase for changes to air/fuel/timing perimeters & driving habits, usually 5 to 7 normal drive cycles. When you install a CAI, high flow filter, and/or performance module, tune @ "unhook the battery" to cancel previous perimeters learned/used and drive 5 to 7 normal driving cycles, to better see/feel any mpg difference, performance gains, throttle response, etc.
  6. Congrads, welcome, enjoy? Where in upstate NY? I lived/work in Manchester/Victor (Rochester area), Auburn (Syracuse area), Malone, Plattsburg, & Saratoga Springs. Moved a lot with Texgas/Surburban Propane. In Hilton Head, SC area now
  7. '13 Edge Sport, 3.7L, using the Jet Performance Module #71103 (Auto Anything), stock air intake with a Green USA Filter performance air filter (10%+ air flow over others) @ +/-10 hp & .5 to 1 mpg gain on 87 octane gas (expecting better on 93), good driving & throttle response, with a slightly better sit-of-the-pants acceleration thru-out the power band. No ill effects. Wondering if I add the K&N CAI with a Green USA Filter & Jet Module if I'd see/feel any added benefit? I'll let you know the results if I do. 8. Pics of '13 Edge Sport, Tux. Blk., "Dark Sport", I was asked about. Red painted calipers, w/black painted rotor centers & outer edge; OEM Ford Sport hood protector/bug deflector; AVS/Lund window vent visors, & OEM "Sport" emblem on front fenders. Taken before burgandy/drk red dual pin stripe attached.
  9. I'll post pics of Dark Sport with Red Painted Calipers, I was asked about, once I figure it out
  10. Thx for the light info/offer. Yes, mass produced/generic CAI's, similar size/air flow as stock IE: K&N, BBK, Ariad without an accompaning tune can be a crap shoot. I agree with you, until someone develops a good tune for the Sport engine, it's best left alone. Ford uses an air baffle box on the intake for a reason, throttle response, aftermarket CAI's do not, w/o a tune it never feels the same. I will say, I've replaced the stock air filter with a Green USA Filter performance filter, and using the Jet Performance module #71103, much to some's chagrin, with no negative effects. A small performance gain 10-12 hp, which was expected, with a small +.5 to 1 mpg gain. I still have all the stock running/operating/responsive characteristics thru-out the power band, including good throttle response.
  11. Good info, thx. I know Mustangs inside & out, what works and what's hipe, & where to get anything. The Edge doesn't have many after market items/vendors or a large hp engine to build off from but it be fun to see what we can do. Yes, Dark Snake was opened up alot. Seveal times at our local Savannah 2.1 mile road track with a 1/2 mile front straight away, I reached 140mph before I had to break for #1 corner. Then in the 1/4 mi., 132mph @ 9.5 sec. Much suspension work, lower rear gears, and the stickest Nitto tire you can buy. Power is useless if you can't put it to the ground, safely! PS: the Dark Snake project was to get as much HP as possibnle without getting into the engine and with the stock Eaton supercharger. I was very succesful. The Edge Sport is next. Has anyone seen any performance improvement with the Magnaflow dual exhaust besides sound? Shouilnpanther - you can get headlight, tail light, and fog light tinted film from Lamin-X .com. Great stuff and they have yellow, blue, smoke, & clear colors. I'm going to do Edge daytime running lights/fog lights yellow, as I have on my Shelby.
  12. Hi All, New forum member from Bluffton, SC, near Hilton Head, SC/Savannah, GA. Born in Boston, raised in NH, now a Southeasterner to enjoy year round crusing, golf, water & outdoor activities I've been a Mustang muscle car guy & currently own a '08 Shelby GT500 "Dark Snake" @ 705hp, road & track car, custom built in my shop @ Tunable Induction, LLC @ Mustang/Hemi CAI's, customizing, & detailing. I had a '13 Edge SE as my daily driver, but being into performance needed the '13 Edge Sport (Tux. Blk), "Dark Sport" and to see what I could do with it. Started customizing/detailing @ Ford OEM hood bug/wind deflector (for those long Rte 95 trips from SC to NH). Experimented with both Fords hood protectors/deflectors, the off the hood one is more effective in windshield bug/debris deflecton, doubles as a hood protector, & actually gaves the front end a more aggressive look; towing package (Seadoo hauling); Red painted brake calipers w/black painted rotor centers & outer edge (which were starting to rust already) Sharp!; Burgandy duel (big&small) pin stripe following side line; Green Filter USA performance, free flowing, lifetime air filter; & a Jet Performance Module (in lieu of an SCT tune, that SCT does not offer yet for her & my SCT X3 tuner). I did gain 10-12 hp and .5 to 1 mpg with the Jet Module. "More air equals more HP!!" If anyone knows of a "larger then stock" CAI out there w/tuner, "please let me know." That's where the increased HP is, +10% or more air flow thru a "larger then stock" inside diameter intake pipe & maf meter, coupled with an SCT tuner, A CAI that's the same size as stock, not so good for the money, but looks like our only option right now? You'd get similar performance benefit by simply replacing your stock air filter with a freer flowing one. Thanks for reading/listening. I'll stay in touch here to see what others are doing to this cool daily driver :hyper: Ken Mason Bluffton, SC
