Probably a dumb question, but can you still use the controls on your steering wheel to turn the volume up/down and skip tracks with the Scosche kit installed? When you installed the Pioneer head unit are you able to use the mic already installed when talking on the phone or did you have to add a new one on?

I actually had a similar thing happen to me in my 2013 Edge while driving up a steep hill. About half way up I had to press the brakes, and after I went to push the gas again the "low engine oil" indicator flashed on and it shut the vehicle off. I also lost the ability to steer but luckily I was able to coast backwards down the hill with the brakes. It started right back up and hasn't happened since, and I checked the oil later that day and it was still full. I didn't get to bring it in that day but I plan on stopping in this week to see if they can pull the code to troubleshoot. Definitely not what you want to happen while driving. Luckily, it was in a nearby residential area when it happened.

Were you able to get your door panels off? I have a 2013 Edge and was having trouble as well even after removing the screws and bolts as listed in the write-up.
