R U reverting back 2 stock exhaust Sys?

A hybrid approach like yours. With the new DP's and Turbos, my MRP exhaust is a bit much for my 6am neighborhood starts. Of course, I tossed my factory muffler ?‍♂️.

Anyway, a factory muffler with cutouts is how I'd like to set it up.

(and I know we chatted on IG, I was just catching our friends up here at the forum, lol)

Where did you pick up Catted downpipes from? How was the install?

Got them from member special_k who gave me a great step by step install guide. It's a bit challenging given the 90 degree motor, but if you are only doing the downpipes, it's a easier than with the turbo removal. Not for your beginner mechanic, and note you will need to have someone fabricate a small piece to connect to the existing exhaust. Overall great experience, they fit great and perform even better!

Palm Beach Dyno. Haven't gone there yet but they mainly do ecoboost. Alot of mustangs, f150, explorers. I believe they did 1 edge so far. I'm waiting for parts and then i have to install them, then going to get it dynoed tuned. They have a single roller, but they have a partner shop next door they use for awd. Let me know if you ever go.

I actually reached out to them and they weren't interested in the custom tuning for my Edge!

Where did you pick up turbos from? Theres a good food ecoboost tuner down here in FL, but might be a hike for you. I plan on taking it there once i finish installing some parts. Whats the point of changing the theromstat?

What Ecoboost tuner are you using down here in Florida? I'm located in Tampa.

Got mine delivered and installed this past Thursday.  Looks amazing, fits great, had it on in 5 minutes.  Coupled with my afe airbox/filters, I swear I feel some power gains on the buttometer.... Thanks so much to @Xtra

    You're one awesome human.

Does the AFE filter and box set work with the sports as well? I only saw it listed for the ST!

Also, got my carbon fiber V2 intake, and it's awesome!!

How much does he charge for the upper intercooler pipe, and do you think he'd be interested in making hard intake pipes for the turbos to go along with Xtra's hard work?  Our intercooler piping situation is in need of some quality, sub-$1000 set of intercooler and intake pipes.

Honestly I think with a quality turbo-back exhaust, hard intercooler and intake pipes(maybe with some heat wrap too), an intercooler, and a really good tune on E these cars could be even faster.  I dream of a future with Xtra's intake box and cowl, hard intercooler/intake pipes, and a complete turbo-back exhaust for everyone.

I can 100% reach out to him about the hard piping. I'm sure if we get enough interest, he'll get them fabbed up for us! I'll be the test subject and help since I'm around the corner from him.

I believe the charge pipe is $275 or so.

Well, with the complications of having twin spoolie bois, I expected this project to have a substantial price tag.

I'm still here, waiting to throw fistfulls of money for one. Lol

Have you talked with Ramfab on these parts? He can make this really quick out of aluminum and powder coat it pretty cheap. Or even leave it bare metal. He lives 10 minutes from my house and has made a few pieces for me already, and if you need to test anything let me know and I'll help!

  9. Here's the 3 stages of the intake I used to get those times. Bes time was the last image with just the 3" turbo guard with the junk yard headlight cut out. 100% not your everyday driver option, but I leave the it with just the filter like in the 1st picture then swap the headlight and the piping when going to the track. ?

That's what I'm talking about!!  That 60' is AWESOME.  I have everything except the springs, and my tires are all at max pressure, so that's the first thing I need to do.  Wow those are good times.  Gives me hope.  Did you notice any heatsoak, if you're on a stock intercooler?  Did it have more top end power than the previous tunes, or was it more down low torque?  Mine seems to have way more torque and mid-range, but drops off on the top end and seems to heatsoak more on the Stage 4 tune.  When the sun goes down and it's a little cooler, it's a whole other story.  Maybe I should try to do a few logs myself.

I am gonna try my best to hit up the local 1/8th track tomorrow if it doesn't rain so I can get some real numbers.  First thing I'm gonna do is lower my tire pressure in the front(you're the second person in the 12.7's to tell me to do that!) and see how it goes.  I do want to do some comparison runs to the old Stage 3 tunes too.  Was this on E30, or on 93?  Is that all the mods you have is just what you listed?  Last question, how are you launching it? Thank you for your comment, it helps a ton.

I have a Ultimate Performance intercooler and a custom intake with the filter pulled and only a turbo guard on it.

I tried several different launches, but the best was 2200 RPM and mash your foot down! Thanks for the note and the 60' was a huge shock to me, it was awesome!

Let me know if there are any other items I can help with.

  11. I did some data logging with Livernois a few months ago and they sent me the Stage 4 tune. I went from a 13.0 to a 12.7 in the quarter mile. DA was around 500 for both and similar air temps. Stock 21's with Dunlop summer tires: 20 PSI in the Front and Max pressure in the back, rear motor mount and lowering springs. Big difference at the track, and love it!

Keep us updated.  I've been talking with LMS lately about the CRP/CPE upgraded turbos and E85.  They've agreed that once I get the parts installed, I'll drop the car off so they can custom tune mine, and then make canned tunes for this for others so alls you'll need is their tuner and away you go.  I'm very curious what your ET/Trap speed is/what numbers you get as this is on my upgrade plans too.  Upgraded intercooler, solid intake/IC pipes, heat wrap everything, CRP Turbos and E85.  F150 2.7 guys put down 550hp on upgraded turbos and E85(granted theres are a little bigger compressor wheel) so 500awhp shouldn't be too out of the question for us.  My only concern is the PTU and Transmission.

Did you wind up going with LMS and have it dyno tuned at their facility?

  13. I'm in the market for a set of downpipes and Zury is backed up until January, but I did see that Ultimate performance has a set for the Fusion. They are unsure if they will fit the Edge, but the part numbers seem to match up, but my only concern is if the one piece welded setup from Ultimate performance will work. Any knowledge of this would be great! Thanks!

  14. I have a 2010 SEL FWD Edge with 182k. Recently I notice a rattling noise coming from the accessory area when I first start it up and the AC is on. With the AC off, no noise. My first thought is that the clutch on the compressor is going, but I'm open to suggestions.

    Thanks.
