I just need removal instructions on what looks like a 16-18 Edge with lane keep option.
-
It is not as easy as just pulling it off. The 1st time I did it I pulled the whole setup off the window camera and all. There is a sequence to removing it.
-
Thanks for the illustration but I need to know how it unclips, removes from the hardware holding the shroud in place.
-
It is not the same shroud as a 2018 Edge, the camera area, lower shroud needs to come off and it is not the same as the 2020 Edge or the one in the Raptor video.

Hi, I want to put in a mirror power tap for my 2018 Edge and need to remove the adaptive cruise/lane keep camera shroud cover. Can someone show me the way????
-
-
They are for local pickup only.
-
You are right, "cheap" car!
-
I have a tailgate where the Edge and Titanium emblems are 3/8" off plain. The Ford dealer said they are not supposed to be on the same plain, REALLY since when!!!!! Does anyone know of a spec for their location and relationship to each other???
-
$45K for the car, it's a big deal, you don't see that stuff in other brands.
-
On my 2013 I could not see it when it was new, but when I traded it in on a 2018 Edge it was very prominent. You could see the complete outline of the airbag.
-
Did you try to get Ford to replace it?
-
Can anyone else see the dash passenger side airbag outline in their dash? Mine is pretty prominent in the sun.

My Titanium has the upgraded leather seating with cooling & heating. My questions what is leather on the seats and what is not???? I don't know for sure what they mean by term leather-trimmed, what is leather and what is vinyl? Also, I assume everything else in the interior other than the steering wheel and seat trim is vinyl for cleaning purposes.

I tried to remove the camera cover and it is not coming off as you had said it would, are you sure?
The video on YouTube is spot on. The top piece has to come off first, push forward pull down. The bottom piece does not pull straight down if you do you may wind up pulling down the whole mirror assembly as I did. You need to take the ears left and right on the top of the bottom piece once the top piece is removed and push them out to release the tabs shown in the video then pull down. Alls well that ends well, everything is back together and working with no damage.

OK, so if I have the mirror and camera which I do, the wire color/connection is the same as the video?

Hi, I am trying to get to the mirror wiring to connect my radar detector but need to understand how schrod covering the lane keeping camera comes off so I don't break it.

Use the white connector facing the drivers side to tap for radar detector. Black wire for ground. Solid yellow wire for power. It is the second yellow wire under the black one. See pics.
Oh and the plastic cap doesn't use any clips. It has a male plunger type holder on each side of the plastic piece that covers the lower part of the mirror. Pull firmly straight down on both sides and it will pop out. The top piece is held in place by the bottom piece. You just squeeze on both sides of the top piece near the mirror stud and it will pull off. Make sure to put the lower piece back on first when reinstalling. Then just pop the top piece back on.OK, so if I have the mirror and camera which I do, the wire color/connection is the same as the video?

I just swapped my 20's with 18's, rides like a dream, quiet, and still handles nice. The only thing I am not sure about is do I need to have the dealer change the CPU to reflect the change in tire/rim size? The '20s seemed to be about an inch taller.

Hi,
On my new 2018 Edge Titanium due to the horrible ride of the 20" rims with the 245/50R20 tires, I went to 18" rims with the stock size tires 245/60R18 tires. My question is it looks like the 20-inch setup was a little taller, do I need to have the dealer adjust the tire size in the CPU of the car? Please let me know.

don't forget to check the tire pressure.
Dropped down to 30 PSI, still rides like a buckboard.
