Hello, I am back! Does anyone seem to know if the cam tensioner is connected with the transfer case. My car is back again the shop and I cannot seem to get any answers other then that my transfer case is appart and they are waiting to see what the new cam tensioner will do. This is now the 3rd time its back since christmas. I have had the foul burning odor blowing into the exhaust system. Now it took them forever to allow me to bring my car back in and by the time I had... it was thumping into gears for better lack of terms. I am hoping someone can help make me understand if they are connected since the dealership doesnt seem to help. Thank you!

Trust me it is not your boat. I have not towed anything wtih my edge and the transfer case is being replaced for the 3rd time in 5 weeks. My edge was smoking and smelled absolutely horrible. Getting the part in seems to also be an issue. Hope they gave you a good loaner.

My tranfer case is being replaced as we speak for the 3rd time in 5 weeks! Get this.... it was still leaking in the shop when they put the third one on! Good thing i got a better loaner this time. I know I will have it for a while
