Did you hook it up to the factory amp or did you use an aftermarket amp? I've been contemplating upgrading my sub too, but there isn't a lot of concise information out there about what works and what doesn't. I was hoping for a little more volume and cleaner sound without putting a box in the cargo area. Here is what I have been thinking of doing: LC2i line out converter Soundstream PN1.450D amp (mount the amp and the LOC in the tray next to the spare tire) Kicker 40CWD82 (I heard that it might be just barely shallow enough at 3-7/8") Any other advice that you, or any others, could share would be great. @ChuckNJ, would you mind sharing what you did to modify the stock box to fit that 10" sub in there? Did you have to reinforce anything with MDF and/or fiberglass? Did you use any poly-fil? Any dynamat (or equivalent)? I've been contemplating doing this soon, I just haven't built up the courage to tear into anything. Any info would help. On another note, I am very jealous of the setup you're going with. Maybe the wife will let me invest a little more in the future and I can attempt to go all out too. Thanks.
