My 2008 Vista Roof rubber track has been damaged for some time now. I bought it used and it has been damaged since I got it. It doesn't stay in place. When the Vista roof opens, it slides back with it. When it closes, it slides forward and bunches. Any one have any parts numbers for the drivers side rubber track? Know where to find one? Similar problem?

Oh, and Tom Champagne, if you go to rockauto.com and look for your shocks and struts there, you can get a set of monroes all the way around for 200 without shipping, then get a $90 mail in rebate on the monroes

So if i get new shocks and struts for my 2008 edge with 91k on it, ill need to replace the camber bolts or not?

Anyone have a cold air intake for an '08 that they would be willing to part with? Ive been looking around online and cant find any for a decent price. Ive checked ebay, but thats all but hopeless. Anyone know of any websites or something to help out. Thanks a bunch.

My '08 SEL has the 18" chrome clad wheels. During my reading, i have learned from you all that they are essentially siliconed onto an aluminum wheel(?). Has anyone taken these covers off? If so what do the wheels underneath look like? Is it hard to remove the covers?

So we finally got 2 days straight of great weather(little windy) and i had no other obligations to work, so now i give you the results of my plasti dipping venture. Let me know what you think. There are a few spots that need touching up or maybe a peeling and repainting.

I would have more done by this point but for some wonderful reason, the weather in nc hasnt cooperated. At this point im looking at next monday to do the rest due to my schedule and the weather

Sabtaj, is the ipod interface compatible with steering wheel controls and satellite radio? Also, is it compatible with US versions of the Edge?

What about going around the edge of the light with a heat gun? How long does anyone think that will take?

Ive already decided to do the grill, but im just trying to decide on the door handles and the piece on the rear hatch. I just want to break up the continuity of the color.

Ok guys, I bought a used 2008 Edge SEL, Crème Brule, not my first choice in color but couldn't beat the price I got on it. I bought it with 84400 miles Dec.8 and have put 2600 on it since. I have been looking online for mods and suggested upgrades. I've read plenty of topics on here about the lowering process but I do have a few questions. One: New control arms recommended? I have seen too many for sale on the interweb and am wondering if those need to be upgraded. My dad had to on his Dodge Ram so I don't know if this is required on the Edge. Two: camber bolts? are those required? miscellaneous alignment kits? I do plan on replacing the shocks and struts. Any suggestions on this lowering process? This is kinda off the lowering topic but, I am planning on plasti-dipping my chrome grill. I plan on removing the bumper and grill assembly to take the chrome grill inserts off to coat them with the plasti dip. To break up the continuity of color on the vehicle, what are your opinions on coating the door handles, the fronts of the side view mirrors, and on the rear hatch, the rectangular piece that has the ford emblem on it. Thanks for the opinions and let me know what others you have.
