Hi folks. Just got my new Edge a few days ago. (With the trailer tow package). I notice that the package does not come with a tranny cooler. Does this vehicle not need one? Has anyone had one put on after? Thanks in advance. Dave

Well I ordered my Edge on Feb 11th and picked it up yesterday (March 20, 1st day of spring). It had to travel a whole 20 miles to get to my dealer. Everything looks great!. The only problem was that my dealer ordered the wrong part to go with my roof rails. I wanted a set of cross bars, but they ordered another set of roof rails. I told them that they were making a mistake. The cross bars are around $100 and the roof rails are around $300.00. Oh well, this will get fixed yet. Boy, is that cargo mat ever flimsy for $110.00! It will still do the job that I want and says "Edge" on it. Wow! The only other options I got were the trailer tow package and 18" wheels. I love the grey looking rims. (Speaking of the tow package, has anyone got a brake controller installed on their Edge to control the brakes on their trailer?) Just wondering how much this costs and if it is working ok. I took my wife and 2 daughters out for their 1st drive in it this morning. They just loved it too. Got lots of looks while driving it. Not sure if it is because of the cool looking vehicle or the not so common light ice blue color, or both. Anyways, I am not getting so edgey now. It's here. Gotta go look at it again!! Hey Jaak. Congrats on the new Edge. I may be wrong, but I do not think the Edge is referred to as a "truck". I think it is known as a "crossover vehicle". My Edge is being built this Wednesday and I should have it a week after that. Dave

Does anyone know how long it takes to take delivery after car is built? My build date is this Wednesday March 12th and my dealership is less than 1/2 hour from the Oakville plant. Can I expect my Edge around March 19th or longer? Thanks. Dave

I will keep an eye out for that creme brulee Edge for ya. lol Not many options in my Edge. It had to have the towing package, roof rails and 18" wheels. (In ice blue). Could not find that combo in Ontario anywhere. So I had to order one. Dave

Hi everyone. I guess you are wondering what the heck I am talking about. I ordered my Edge two weeks ago. Every morning I make the drive to work from Stoney Creek to Burlington Ontario along the Q.E.W which takes me from 6:30 AM to about 6:55 AM. During that time I see 6 to 8 transport trucks loaded with brand new Edges heading towards the U.S. I can't stand it!!! I have to wait 2 to 3 more weeks for mine! Oh well, maybe one day I will see my Ice Blue baby on one of the trucks making a delivery to my dealer. Be patient Davey. Dave

Yep, that's the hood deflector I am talking about. I think it belongs more on vans and trucks then the Edge. Not quite sure though.

Hi all! Just wondering how many of you have the original Ford hood deflector on your Edge. I have had my Ice Blue Edge on order for 2 weeks now and am thinking on whether or not to put one on when it comes in. I have always had one on for my Freestar van, Sport Trac before that and Aerostar before that. Are any of you getting paint chips coming off on the front of your hoods? Thanks in advance. Dave

Have you heard of Taylor Coach travel trailers? I am going to be towing mine when my Edge comes in. Mine is a 17' and weighs about 2,500 lbs full. The Edge should have no problems pulling it. Dave

I may be wrong, but I did a price check on the Ford website. Canadian price was about $5,000 more than the U.S price. So still not very close. Dave

Hi guys and girls. It's Dave here. I ordered my Edge yesterday. SEL, Ice Blue, 18" wheels, towing package and roof rails. Do you think I could find that vehicle in stock here in Ontario? No way. I live not too far from the plant too. Oh well, just have to wait for it to be built. I will be trading in my Freestar van which also was made in the same plant in Oakville, Ontario. I will be towing a small travel trailer 17' (about 2,500 lbs loaded) and was glad to see the tow package. Anyways, I hope you can answer some of my questions down the road.
