  1. AWD It handled great in the 18+ inches we got in the last few days.
  2. i just got back from a 1200 trip. We took two cars down to the outerbanks. The edge and the freestyle. The edge avg 25.7 and the freestyle avg 24.3. I am very happy because both cars were fully packed and we were driving down pretty quick. about 85mph in the edge and basicly the same in the freestyle except my son was driving that and liked to test the limits of the car. But I am very pleased with my ford's mpg.
  3. i was driving my edge on the sand in the outerbanks 2 weeks ago. it handled fine.

    MPG??????

:quote: The average California/Chicago/NY driver is not going to get more than 13-14 with any SUV with 220-300hp, period. It's the law of physics ___________________________________________ You are 100% right. I live in Westchester (subrurb of NYC) and when I'm in the city I get anywhere from 9-14mpg. But when I'm cruising on the highway doing 70-80mph I get 24-26. i get 19mpg mixed. 25% city 75% higway
  5. Heres what I used to tint the tails in my mustang. heres the result.
  6. Looks awesome good luck with it
  7. I have the power liftgate. You could open/close it from the key the dashboard the rear
  8. get a 2008 Limited AWD- with every option like I did for under $40,000
  9. QUOTE (sidewaysammy @ Jun 19 2008, 10:39 AM) I am new to the forum...and thinking of trading in a 03 Z71 Tahoe. for an edge. I get about 17 mpg HIGHWAY with the TAHOE.....and with gas prices...well you know the deal. Reading all the posts regarding gas mileage......I wish people would (some do) point out the options on the car and whether is AWD or FWD, as this makes a HUGE difference in what you will get in terms of mileage. I know that two major causes of poor fuel economy is WEIGHT and FRICTION. So if you have an AWD model with the ROOF option, your car is the HEAVIEST..EDGE made, and therefore will fall into the LOWEST category for fuel mileage. So, if you wouldnt mind, when responding to the GAS mileage posts...please include the following: 1) AWD or FWD 2) Roof or no roof 3) RIM/Tire size 4) City or Hwy or Combo 5) Use the AC or windows 6) Hot climate or cold climate 7) Hills or flat. This will help out greatly when comparing mileage. thanks SS ________________________________________________________________________________ ________ 2008 Ford Edge Limited 1. 10. I like the wood but i think that, that is a bit too much. I think that it came out well though.
  11. the 20" are great. I love them. The ride is really smooth. I've never driven them with the 18's. It drives smoother than my 2006 Freestyle Limited with 18"
  12. I've gotten 26 mpg in my edge limited. thats doing 80, so if you go slower you could get even better mpg. Its a loaded limited AWD. Dont be fooled by the 22 avg on the highway. In town I get 15. Its gotten as low as 13 though. but my avg's are 15/25 with 3k on it
  13. No pic's of my 2008 edge limited yet. other cars 2006 Ford Freestyle Limited 2006 Ford Mustang GT 2005 Subaru Outback XT 2001 Jeep (off road use)
  14. I get 15 city (stop and go) 25 highway (at 80m.p.h.) in my 2008 Limited AWD with 3k on it. p.s. i only had it for a month and i love the mpg
