  1. The other day I found that the voice commands have more sub-categories than touch screen inputs. Example; Manual input POI "Restaurant" has no sub categories while voice input has type of restaurant like fast food, pizza, Thai, Chinese etc. .like 15+ Yes I am parked..but it is the same while driving.,. another frustrating inconsistency. I assume all the POI categories have this same action. WHY?,,,, oh yah... MFT-SYNC
  2. My point is that doing those entries I listed ALL require more than a "glance" at the screen. As 100% of the comments I have seen ALL desire "passenger" input capability...using keyboard. All this frustration ends up with the installation of Lockpick bypass units and the negating Fords feable attempt to please big government and lawyers.
  3. Its interesting that Ford has chosen to ONLY lock keyboard type entries while in motion. Alpha Numeric, by touch screen. Looks like almost ALL touch screen inputs are active in Navigation. 100% active in Audio, 100% in Climate. So what sence does just locking keyboard inputs? Example; NAVIGATION-POI-RESTRAUNTS-NEARBY- SORT BY DISTANCE OR ALPHA. Then you look and touch the line number , then look and touch SET AS DESTINATION. I dont use cell phone so have no comment on that function. Maybe some day Ford will wake up and listen to user input.
  4. The point is sort of a oxymoron. They lock out manual input to stop distracted driving then tell you to choose a number displayed on the POI list on the screen. Its not that it doesnt understand me.
  5. What good does it do to lock out manual inputs while moving, but you are still required to try and read the screen to "Select a line" to complete the command? Seems real dumb.
