  1. 2011 Ford Edge fuel door spring broken. Fuel Door won't close. Is this fixable by myself? I've seen lots of videos re pickup trucks having same issue but they can reach under the fender to release clip. Edge is fully enclosed. looking for ideas. Thanks
  2. Cant be the switches as they all work any direction for all the other settings / options. Thought maybe I was missing something so I guess it's back to the dealer.
  3. My 2011 Edge. The left side Multi Function Display has me puzzled. When I'm driving and try to switch from Fuel or Trip mileage info back to my default round Tach and Fuel gauge, it won't go. It just gives me a Fuel, Vertical RPM and a designation of miles before empty. Regardless of how I move through the menus it's always the same. I have to shut off the engine and restart it to get back to my default Tach/Fuel gauge. Any ideas?
  4. Its a feel good thing for sure.
  5. I've been using drop in K&N filters for many years on all my cars. Very satisfied although it would be difficult to measure any definite advantage. Just like to optimize mileage and performance with something inexpensive if you keep the car for a while. One thing I noticed is that its more effort to install on my Edge since I need to remove the entire intake box cover and hose connection as the K&N rubber frame seems a bit thicker and denser material. No big deal, just a little more work.
  6. I've owned a lot of cars in my lifetime and by far, most dealers have been only as good as they needed to be to get and keep my business. Recently I bought a very clean and low mileage 2011 Edge from Erinwood Ford in Mississauga, Ontario. To anyone in the Greater Toronto Area, I highly recommend this dealership. It was easily the best sales experience Ive had and from what Ive heard they have a very good reputation for after sales as well. Just wanted to say something positive about a dealersship for a change.
  7. Just bought a used one owner 2011 Edge Limited, fully loaded and with only 9,000 miles. Mint condition, doesnt look like the back was ever used. Anyway, I could have used the AWD this winter being what it was. Red Candy Metallic with black leather. So far we really like it. I also have a 2012 Chrysler 300S Hemi which we also like a lot. It is interesting to compare the Ford Touch with the Chrysler uConnect. Both offer mostly the same features although the Chrysler system is a lot more user intuitive. It didnt take very long to figure out the Ford Touch system though and frankly, I dont know what all the fuss is about. It works great! It's different but not a problem. The test will be how long both systems keep working without doing what computers eventually do. Anyhow, we like the Edge and hope to keep it for a long time.
