I have the same problem but on the driver side. It will not recline or fold forward. I just took it out and tried to figure out how to release it but its hard to figure out where it pivots. I looked at the pdf for synchronizing so I may pull it back out and try again. its a 2013. Pretty bad that it fails this early in its life.

Is this a plug and play install (with regard to the wiring)? I have a limited and assume they all come with the sony system. Does anyone know if there is an amp somewhere? Thanks.

Hello all, I just got my edge a couple months ago and am trying to figure out my options. I currently have both a thule and a yakima base rack but both have gutter mounts. Both also have 48 inch load bars. Before I invest in towers for the bare roof, can anyone tell me for sure if 48 inch load bars will work on the ford edge with towers for the standard round/square bars from yakima/thule? I did find a 44.25 inch measurement but I believe that is the distance between the two towers (inner to inner) I need to see if the distance from the outer part of each tower is more than 48 inches. Thanks in advance.

Looks great. I have 48" yakima and thule bars and wanted to put one of them on my edge. From what I understand, yakima's measurement of 45.5 is the distance beween the q-towers? Do you think 48" load bars would work on the yakima setup? Thanks.
