  1. Hi Rebecca, My 2011 Ford Edge was working fine. I did not get the map update - I didn't see a reason to if it was only to update maps. I was told when I purchased the Edge, that I would not have to purchase updates, similar to TomTom. However this week, my navigation screen has come up with a notice that it is not working properly and that I need to take it to a dealer. The car also thinks it is in Michigan and won't let me re-set it, even when I input new destinations. My dealership charged me $240+ to disconnect/drain the battery and re-set it, they also put the latest maps in it. My extended warranty apparently doesn't cover this, even though it was sold to me as covering all the electronics. I am not happy, and I was considering buying a new Ford Expedition, but not if this type of thing is the case and things aren't covered. What gives - as I see from other forums, that this was a fix your company devised... Thanks. Toni
  2. Just had my door latch replaced by Ford. The door ajar light kept coming on and at first I thought I had developed a weakness in my left arm and was not closing it right. Then it happened more and more and then it just didn't go off. Fortunately I had just gotten the extended warranty, so it didn't cost me anything. However, both my keys were also misbehaving as they were not always opening the door lock and not beeping when i left the keys in the car and locked myself out twice. Turns out the battery was dying - my car is a 2011, bought new and has about 15000 miles on it. Somehow I don't think the battery just up and died on a three year old car. So I am going to write to Ford about that, as I have a feeling it was run down by the door ajar light. There should be a recall on it though, as the doors don't lock while it is lit up.
