  1. It's a known issue within Ford with a service bulletin for it. Find another dealer and make sure it's not in any more rain. It's not a quick job to repair and replace the necessary parts.

  2. If you build on the ford website and choose the 21" rims, it forces you to take the summer tires. Also, when I "chatted" online with them before, they also told me that the 21" rims required the summer tires. Sure is confusing.

The Ford site is notorious to have incorrect or outdated info. That's why it's best to always go by the latest order guide.

  3. I just got my wifes White Edge Sport. It was made on May 7th but wasn't delivered till this past friday. (I live about 2 hours from the plant). A contact I have told me that they are sending a bunch of edges to Windsor for repair. There are lots of different reasons for repair. In my edge, there was a card with notes from the technician on the line pointing out issues that have to be repaired. On my edge, there was 3 issues. They were all repaired and looks like nothing ever happened.

What kind of issues did it say?

  4. Maybe i will look for some different bolt to secure both push pins on both sides. I will keep you updated.

The sunroof rattle is the roof liner coming loose.... i am still working on a fix for that.

    Poor design ..

You have a picture of what exactly you mean? Wonder if my rattle is the same one. Mine only rattles when open.

  5. Both the seat cushion and back portion are heated and cooled. It's mearly the design that makes the seat backs not as effective in getting as cool. It's difficult to get any significant amount of air into the seat back portion for the fans to blow. The seat cushion however is completly open underneath so it gets all the air it can handle. It's similar in other Ford models where the back does not feel as cool. My '13 Flex was the same way. I do agree that the seat bottom does get cold really quickly and needs to be turned down.

  6.

Good question. Because I was under the vehicle yesterday looking for it with no luck.

My liftgate works fine and is pretty sensitive. I was applying some trim/tire guard to the rear valance with my fob in my pocket, and it kept triggering the liftgate. I have the Sport with no hitch.

The 2 sensors (upper and lower) are located behind the bumper cover and are long and flat that cover most of the width of the bumper area.

Thanks for the info, I sent them a message, they're awfully far from me but its worth a look I think.

    Thanks again!

Looks like the one you want has every available option. In that case I would say your payment should be no more than $500-520 with $0 down except 1st payment and taxes on rebates ($700 ish total). Check out Surburban Ford in Sterling Heights, Mi. Myself and another forum member here got ours there and they are the easiest and best to deal with. They are the #2 selling dealer in the country (sell 60-70 cars a DAY). See what kind of price they give you to get an idea of a good deal.

At least you can get a ballpark idea of what a reasonable price would be, then see if a dealer near you could match it. Or buy it in Mi and either fly in to pick it up or have it shipped out to you if the price is right.

  8. MSRP $47,860, my price is $42,xxx

Payment including all taxes and fees, zero down (rebates cover fees) $617 / 24 months

I got a quote from another dealer, similar price (through Costco),

    They quoted $700 /24 months

The first dealer I checked with quoted $790 / 24 months then came down to approx $700.

I know for sure two dealers are using the same residual, 67% for 24 months, no one has given me a money factor.

I figured it'd be in the range you quoted, $450 to $ 500

  9. I would not go by Ford.com for lease prices. Those are only very general estimates, and yes, worthless. The dealer will have the latest residual and money factor rates. Curious as to what the sticker price is of the Sport you are looking at and the monthly payment on a 2 year lease. On an AWD 401A with $0 down and the numbers you provided, payment should be $450-$500 depending on any additional options.

  10. More than a TSB? Like what exactly? Ford knows about the issue and has alerted dealers to be aware of it and how to correct it. It's actually not uncommon for turbo lines to come loose if not installed correctly or if the clamps are even a little under torqued or misaligned. There is a lot of pressure in those lines and they need a little extra attention when assembled. Like I said before, it's happened on other Ecoboost engines too when they first launched in those models.
