  1. Here are the stats from a quick run I made with a VBOX just to see what she would do since there are no stats out yet.

    2015 Edge Sport AWD

    550 miles

    1/4 tank of 93 octane

    Driver only

    Outside temp 44F

    Shifter in drive

Brake torqued to 2000rpm to build boost

    0-60 5.9 seconds

    1/4 mile 14.4 @ 100.3

It kinda launched soft then took off.

    Brake torqued to 1500rpm

    0-60 5.8 seconds

    1/4 mile 14.3 @ 100.6

    Much better launch this time

  2.

Not surprised. The sales guy was on point and always doing whatever it took to get me in the car I wanted. Never trying to upsell me anything or put me in a different vehicle. Not pushy at all. And their showroom is pretty bad ass. Something you usually see with higher end cars like Lexus.

My salesman was the same way. I was in and out in less than an hour. Their service area is also impressive, you pull in and they have about 20 angled parking spots and all the service writers are just inside the glass doors. That place sells about 60 to 70 cars a DAY.

  3. My roof developed a slight rattle too which I noticed on Fri while it was open. It was coming from where the glass mounts to the mechanism at the front drivers side, there are two torx fastners per mount. It was just a minor tick while moving the glass up and down, think it was a little metal on metal contact. I fixed it myself with a tiny bit of lubricating oil where the two metal pieces come together, just a few drops on the inside of the bracket with the glass open.

Have you noticed when closing the rear hatch with the button, it will come down a little hard at the very end before it latches shut? Not really hard, just not smoothly like I'm used to with other vehicles.

  4. would the hitch application interfere with the sensors that open the back hatch.

Still waiting on my white sport....been 12 weeks now, but I have a feeling its taking longer because of the driver pkg I ordered.....my dealer tells me it should be hear the beginning of may.

I doubt it since you can get a hitch with the handsfree lift gate on the Titanium. The sensors are on each side of the center any way.

  5. I was looking at that myself as I have a trailer I would like to use with it. The rear valence would have to be trimmed to fit a hitch. Or get a bumper cover from a Titanium to use but then the exhaust would have to be modified as only the Sport has integrated outlets and are separate from the bumper cover. Easiest way would be trimming it for a hitch.

  6. I do in fact know the area well! That new focus, the RS(?) looks like a beast.....i would love to drive one of those for a little while once they offer them stateside...maybe next year. But I have my eyes set on a sport just to race around in that f-150 engine in a family wagon has got to be refreshing. Did you get the 21 tire/wheel pkg? I read somewhere that the package is for "summer" tires. Is that true? My 22"s on my 2011 sport were pirelli's and they did fine in the snow and ice.

I didn't get the 21" wheels as they weren't available to order until just recently, as were the summer tires. The summer tires are and additional option on top of the 21" wheels which come standard with all-season Pirellis. I would love to get my hands on a set of those wheels though. The standard wheels just don't look as mean as the 21's.

  7. Welcome to the club! I love mine still.

I still can't get over how quiet this thing is. I don't know if it's just the overall sound deadening or the Active Noise Canceling but it is solid. Not a squeek or rattle to be heard either which is impressive for an all new vehicle. Beside the awesome engine, the Vista roof is my favorite feature and worth every penny. Really opens up the vehicle.

I just picked up my titanium today. I will log about 1000 miles this week and will let you know my opinion. The 2.0 is peppy, but not fast....make sense. The torque really peaks at about 3000rpm as they state. I am very satisfied with my choice this time around with opting for the lighter interior instead of the black that comes in the sport. The magnetic metallic and the soft ceramic go very well together in my opinion. I am anxious to order my 2016 and it will be sport as I have drive that engine for a while.

My Sport is a blast to drive. Power comes on strong and doesn't let up. Some poor sap in a newer Focus sedan found that out the hard way when we both went from a light to a merging freeway on-ramp and he thought he could take me off the line. (WB I-96 ramp from NB Tele if you know the area)

  9. I assume it's like the Fusion - ridges on the top of the handle to lock it and a sensor inside the handle to unlock.

Exactly, just 3 raised lines on the right of the handle where you touch to lock. Another thing I noticed with the new system is there is no physical lock plunger that sticks up on the inside door panel, just a little red light when it's locked. So when the doors lock it's not as loud so you have to listen a little closer to make sure they lock.

  10. I believe you're referring to "Can lock/unlock vehicle by all doors now, not just the front (keyless vehicles) Have that as well with my 2011 Ltd ?".

I think Magnetic Edge meant that unlocking from the remote or unlocking either front door (keyless entry) can unlock all 4 doors at the same time, if programmed to do so.

Actually what I meant was all 4 door handles have the sensor in them to lock/unlock just by touch when you have the keyless fob in your pocket. Earlier years only have the sensor in the front doors.

So after driving my Sport for 2 days now here are a few things I like and don't like about it.

    Likes:

    Looks fantastic in silver

    Giant panoramic roof

Very quiet inside with almost no road noise. Quieter than my '13 Flex Limited

Rides firm but well damped, even on Mi roads

    Suede seat inserts

New keyfob design shows a green light if the vehicle has successfully remote started, red if not Finally! Great addition

Effortless power, should increase with more miles and break-in

Gauge cluster now shows actual tire pressures and AWD power distribution AWD power distribution is displayed on my 2011 Ltd ?

Storage bins next to spare tire

Can lock/unlock vehicle by all doors now, not just the front (keyless vehicles) Have that as well with my 2011 Ltd ?

    Fit and finish is perfect

    Dislikes:

Turn signal stalk is the same one used in the Focus and actually stays up or down, unlike all other newer Fords that return to center after signaling. Will take some relearning.

Center console really deep and takes some digging to find something

Not a huge fan of the standard Sport wheels, wish the 21" dark ones were available at production start up (maybe find someone in a couple months to trade)

Pant leg catches door sill when getting out, not good for dark pants in the winter

Overall I really love this thing and am very happy with my decision over the MKC.

I came from a '13 Flex which had neither of those even though the gauger cluster was the same.

  13. Congrats on the new ride, hope you enjoy it. Can you confirm if those front accent lights work as DRLs during the day?

Yes they do. When you turn on the parking or headlights they dim just a little. They are one of my favorite features of the Edge. I only wish the headlights had the accents too like the '16 Explorer. The China version of the Edge has LED headlights with the accents in them. Too bad they currently don't pass our DOT standards.
