  1. My MKX came with 2 year free maintenance. Can I use it at a Ford Express lube at a Ford dealer? Also at what intervals will they change the oil and filter free?
  2. Nice looking Edge. I would look around for some Sport 22's. I would love to get a set for my MKX. Seems like factory rims hold up better to weather than aftermarket. The same holds true for my Harley Davidson. Don't know why.
  3. It is black but FWD. I actually expected a better, quieter, smoother overall vehicle being a Lincoln. Lincoln quality has gone downhill since I owned my Town Car.
  4. I look at it and see a hacked up MKX. I must be getting old. I only paid $28K OTD for my brand new leftover 2013 this past June. I just looked into trading it in this past weekend and the best price I got for a trade in was $25K and it only has 2,300 miles on it.
  5. I would offer him $12K. The plastic dip chrome, chips, and interior wear is gonna hurt him. A dealer would probably only give about $10K if he's lucky.
  6. AWD Santa Fe and FWD MKX. I would think that the Santa fe would be worse. Also I am no where near the 26 MPG EPA rating. Im not even at the combined mileage.
  7. My MKX is pretty bad. I have not taken to the dealer yet. Just have those Febreeze air fresheners in every vent. LOL Even though I can see some water dripping when the AC is on I am going to climb under and blow air up the drain. Then I am going to pull the cabin air filter and run the fan full blast while I spray Lysol in it.
  8. I was thinking of getting a set of AVS shades for the windows on my MKX. Anyone have any feedback on them? I was looking at the AVS brand and see they have in the channel and exterior stick on. I have a set of stick ons on my pick up and love them. In the channel seems like they would interfere with the windows. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
  9. Where would the shipping blocks be located? In the springs? I actually had my selling Lincoln dealer AND the local Ford dealer tell me that if a car sits for LONG periods of time that the rotors will warp. I had never heard that before but 2 different dealers told me the same exact thing. My car sat on the dealers lot since 2012 so it was there for a long time. I had pulled the cabin air filter and it was spotless so I am assuming that it had been sitting on the lot for so long and they probably ran the air a lot when they moved it around the lot and the coil area never really dried out because when I bought the car it really stunk inside to the point that my wife was convinced it was not a new car. It was not the "new car smell". I wish it was because I love that smell. I have Febreze air fresheners in almost every vent. The wind noise I am not letting go. I am going to find a Lincoln dealer and see what they say. Theres only one local and they are not known to be very good.
  10. Bought a new left over 2013 Lincoln MKX in June. I was very excited to get it but that did not last long. Issue 1 I bought it at a dealer 2 hours from my house. I drove it home and noticed it had a BAD vibration when using the brakes (warped rotors) I took it to the local Ford dealer and they would not touch it because it was brand new and they told me to call the dealer I bought it from. I called them and they wanted to cut the rotors. I refused to accept that because a new car with 9 miles on it should not have warped rotors on it and I wanted new rotors. It was a battle but they finally replaced the front rotors. I still have a slight vibration from, what I believe is, the rear rotors. But I am just dealing with it. Issue 2- There is a LOUD wind noise coming from the upper corners of both front doors. It sounds like the window is cracked open. Took it to the local Ford dealer and they said it was normal. I couldn't believe it! I said that there was no way they could actually say it was normal. They said being a Ford dealer they did not have a MKX to compare it too. I told them they have plenty of Edge's and I am sure that none of them have the noise. They just stared at me so I thanked them and took my key fob. UHHH Issue 3 A/C smells like dirty socks. I am glad I found this site because I am going to try and take care of it myself. I see water leaking under the car but I am still going to blow the line ot and spray Lysol in the vents, air intake, and where the cabin air filter is. Issue 4 Not sure if this is really an issue but man does this thing ride rough. I bought my wife a new 14 Hyundai Santa Fe turbo in April and it is like night and day between the ride and quietness of the inside cabin. You would think the Lincoln would be better. I have the 18" rims and tires. Mine is FWD and gets 20mpg on a good day and her Santa Fe is AWD turbo and she gets 23-25 all day long. Issue 5 I have the issue where the seat moves back as you accelerate. I read through the forums and see that's a common issue with all Fords and has been for awhile. It doesn't bother me that much but it is one of those little things that add up. I really like the looks of the MKX but I am seriously thinking of trading it in on something else. Anyone want to buy a 4 month old MKX with 2,700 miles? LOL Rant done. One positive, this thing is quick with the 3.7
  11. I bought a brand new leftover MKX in June and it does the exact same thing. I was going to bring it back to the dealer but they can't even fix the obvious issues. I just picked my car up today from the dealership for a HORRIBLE air noise coming from upper part of the driver side door and the guy told me it was normal. I was really mad. I am actually thinking of trading it for a Hyundai Santa Fe. My wife has one and it is spectacular compared to my MKX
