Wife and I had been looking at either the Edge or MKX for the past month or two and decided to pick up a tuxedo black w/ black leather interior this weekend. Finalizing the paperwork Monday. So far the car has driven out great! Going to get underneath tomorrow and make sure we're all good and go from there! Hoping to do a few aesthetic mods but for a majority this will be left stock as it's the wife's DD and my car is more of the toy... In any case, wanted to say hello and that I will be lurking around and learning a bit! Here's how she sits now! Hoping to do a few things right away. Likely some tint and I may attempt to source a sport front grill or just paint the OE. I'm also open to suggestions. It looks like there are some MFS hacks that might be beneficial as well...

Thanks! I just stumbled across it. I am leaning toward the possibility of adding factory NAV as the metra set-up seems oddly conceived...the example video did not show any use of the aftermarket HU for stereo functions...and it's placement was weird to say the least. Any idea what's involved in adding NAV to a non-NAV equipped vehicle?

Called crutchfield today and apparently there is no DD dash kit, they are aware of, for a '13 Edge... Can anyone confirm or deny this? The vehicle I am in process of purchasing does not have OE NAV. I will either be adding it replacing HU w/ aftermarket...if possible. Thanks in advance for any input.

It is a bit hacked up. The mods were done poorly and a majority of this needs redone. On that I agree...just not sure where you got that number man. I'm seeing '10 100K Edge limited in AWD for that cash...Too, they may be softer in your area...and that's good to know! I might make you an offer on yours if it's AWD and either white or black if you're considering selling...

Looking for an AWD Edge Sport, Limited or MKX w/ Leather, NAV...the works. Looks like the "11-'13 is in our range depending on what you have. Proximity to 49009 will be a factor. It's for my wife and she will be picky on color as well. Thinking Black or White at this point but if the miles are right please feel free to post. Mileage under 60K w/ minimal wear. Let me know what you have. Looking for a quick sale, cash in hand!! Please include VIN as I will be doing a carfax before responding.

Rough trade in with the miles is 16K. Clean is 20K...I think you're spot on at 18K but he's not going to take that...

That's herensously low. I haven't seen this body style for under 20k.

Also, the painted sideskirts/cladding was not very well matched or blended...the front grill was painted...it was going flat. Car looks pretty good from about 5ft. Interior looked pretty good, typical wear on the leather...armrest IMO will need replaced as elbow wear has discolored leather. Lmk if I'm just being too picky here...for a 70K car I would assume it should be a little cleaner but I believe with about $1800 into this it could look tip top again.

Wife and I are considering this 2011 Lincoln MKX and wanted to get some impressions of value. Vehicle has just under 67K on the odometer. Undercarriage looked fairly clean. You can tell it's been driven in MI salt and snow...body looked like maybe PO lived on a dirt road? ...I'll let the other pics do the talking. AWD 22" Wheels Falken A/S Tires (2K) NAV

Very nice!! I'd love to find a white one but I don't know if I will within the time frame we have available. We drove an Acadia Denali and I loved it!! She was not thrilled with the interior... How does your edge do on gas? I assume the boasted 23mpg is a farce...

I actually like the looks of the Lincoln. The sport is very attractive but something about that front grille...I was thinking if I go with the sport I might find one and black it out... Is the ride of the sport at all harsh? The Cherokee we are replacing was very plush...the Limited was a little rough by comparison...Lincoln was close enough. Considered swapping the struts off the Lincoln onto the sport if it wasn't what she was looking for...though that's a bit self defeating. lol Any idea if the valving varies between models?

My wife and I are in pursuit of a Ford!! Considering the Lincoln MKX, Edge Limited and Edge Sport all 2011 or newer. We are attempting to replace my wife's Jeep Grand Cherokee Limiter (4.7L) and after driving quite a few vehicles Ford is really standing out. For our in tents and purposes the vehicle must be AWD and a limited or leather package. The main reason we landed on this body style over the Explorer is the room for a rear facing car set...the back seat on these is very spacious! We really like the interior trim package and rid of the MKX but are drawn to the price tag of the Limited or Sport a little more. I'm familiar with turbo vehicles as I've driven Subaru's for years so the EcoBoost doesn't really scare me...just deciding if it's worth the extra money over the limited...as I know I will end up modding this car if it's turbo... I look forward to trading ideas with the lot of you. I do however have some questions... How is the ride of the Sport vs Limited? I would assume stiffer, thus sport, but is comfort sacrificed? I assume the EcoBoost engines requires 93 octane? Any ATX issues with the turbo line up? I'm sure I will have more, and intend to search, but for sake of conversation if someone would like to spot some banter it would be appreciated!
